Seems very basic and simple to me. If your wife wants a 1/2 bath she gets it.

My wife Susan and I were looking at a 24.5 mh with an everything in one bathroom. My wife said that won't work. I said you're right sweetheart.

Now, as a single man I don't even have to have a built in bathroom at all (just give me a van and a sleeping bag...well at least when I was younger), but then I'm not single and it is mostly not about me and my needs.

I like a happy wife...it makes for a happy husband. I like losing losing arguments to her. Her complaints, very rare these days, are like roadmaps to success.

Now if the situation was reversed, she wouldn't say anything...whatever you want sweetheart she told me when buying a mh. Of course, I have taken her shopping with me and asked her questions, like what do you think of the bathroom. See her response and mine above.

Since I do most of the cooking, I don't have to ask about the kitchen. Interestingly, yesterday, she said she would like to cook more when she stops working.

Thanks for all of the input. I agree space is important but going from the 42 foot DEQ to the 45 foot 44B mitigates that somewhat and it puts the bathroom sink back in the bathroom where it belongs.
Most people who have gone to the half bath say they won't go back and it's what the wife wants, so I guess we will go big. She thinks we'll do a lot of entertaining so bigger is better and the 1/2 bath will be handy.

One 40 ft MH with 1 bath and one 43 ft with the extra 1/2 bath. My experience now is that we would not have another MH without the extra 1/2 bath. I thought it was stupid at first[I] but have found the convenience and privacy offered with the extra bath well worth it to us.

Adding in the extra space required for the second bath does take away from the rest of the interior space but having the second bath can be nice. I think it all depends on the floorplan. I've seen some 40' coaches with the bath and a half that I would never want. The rear bath was super tight and the living area was full of compromises. Some of the 42-43' plans get better, depending on how they are laid out. But a well designed 45' plan can easily handle a bath and a half without giving up valuable living space.

We like the bath and a half but we have decided that our next coach will be a 45 footer so that works.

The size of coach will vary with each individual. Some folks want more space to roam around, others spend more time outside. It makes no difference. But in a one bathroom place only one person can do their business at a time - unless there is a technique I am not aware of. With an extra half bath you have doubled your capacity.
