Jack noise
I took my coach in for very noisy jacks. After Entegra and Equalizer watched a video from my service center of my coach with the jacks going up and down they say it is normal. Joyce said I can get a bottle of the Cat additive and it may help. I'm not sure I'm really that happy with me having to fix a problem that is the fault of the jack company. My coach also creeps (moves) when you go up or down with the jacks. Again we were told that is normal. The moving does not really bother me (it is also loud as it bumps along a few inches) but the loud hydraulic noise does bother me. I know jacks can be made that don't make all this noise.......I have owned three other sets that did not make anywhere near this much noise. No way I can leave a campground before 8:00 AM if I have to move the jacks. They are THAT loud. Anyone else? Did any of you that tried the Cat fluid get any relief?

JJ,
We have the exact same problem, very loud jacks. I took my coach in for service and what I was told is the jacks are performing normal. The issue is the seal on the jacks is rubbing on the shaft of the jack, thus causing the noise. The tech stated he put silicone on the jack shaft and the noise is gone. I guess problem solved in a way. Then should be siliconed anyway per the manufacturer.

I have a 2014 Anthem & I also notice the jacks to be noisy, like they need lubricating, haven't done so maybe I should? Anybody else experienced this?

Maybe an audio/picture file with an iPhone would help us understand...it is difficult to get a feel , how loud? I know for myself, I feel bad starting up the diesel engine in a crowded campground before 8AM, but it doesn't seem to bother anyone else to do it. Same with the air system blow off when the bags and system are full. Happens all the time. Are the jacks louder than these two systems? When operating on departure, the raising process is less than 20 seconds. This being my first coach, I guess I just don't have a fell for what is loud.

Silicone spray is good for the pistons and seals. Is the noise from the jacks extending, the pump, or hydraulic fluid moving through the valves and hoses? Have you checked that each jack is vertical? I'd be more concerned with the creeping along a few inches as they go down.
Be prepared for having to fix many things yourself, it's the nature of the beast unless you want it to spend most of it's life at the service center being cared for by bozos that will probably break more things than they fix.

My coach also creeps but only at my home on my RV pad. I had my driveway sealed. It does not creep anywhere else.

There was this post by DianneS a few months ago. They finally had their jacks replaced. This post goes into depth about the CAT Fluid. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/real...cs-174591.html
I have the same jacks on my TS, they are quite, but they also creep with any slope. I am 2 inches off on my wood blocks I use in my driveway. I do silicone spray mine a couple of times a year, then wipe them down.

My orig coach jacks popped and cracked for 2 years till I had Freightliner c/s verify the noise to Entegra c/s.
Equalizer was uncooperative till Joyce got involved. Eq provided the jacks and Entegra covered the labor and all 4 jacks were replaced.
Then the noise started with the new jacks. Back and forth and finally my local repair center put in a qt of Cat lube, 3 cycles and the noise went away.
Kudos to Joyce, thumbs down to Equalizer for their total lack of concern or cooperation, and reluctance to reimburse me for the noise repair.

My jacks are quiet going down but make some noise going up. I wasn't concerned until some of the posts here over the last couple months. I had to retract the jacks today for a repair guy which I did while he was outside the coach. He didn't react at all, later said they were quiet.
I'm not saying some people have noisy jacks but keep I mind a little vibration of the jacks is transferred through the frame and amplified while you're inside. The outside noise is likely not near as loud as you think it may be.
As far as cranking to leave before 8:00 AM; if I have to leave that early I will be a day late. ;-)

The linked post explains it, and where to get it. REALLY loud hydraulics???? Some it worked for, others it did not.

FWIW, our coach usually creeps when going up and down on the jacks. Freaked me out at first. But I was also told it was normal and caused from the jacks angling slightly for stability - and that the creep was very minimal. I didn't believe it until I went outside and had Rick deploy the jacks (usually part of my job). The coach really doesn't move as much as it seems to from inside. It seems much more dramatic inside.

I asked Entegra CS. They said no lube for the jacks or the slides.
