Watch the Utube videos OR read your owners manual. Entegra DEFINITELY wants you to put slides out BEFORE putting the jacks down, then Jacks down BEFORE slides back in.

I had the same issue (question) and got the following from the factory. They want the slides operated on the air bags. Since the bags dump when leveling, its slides out jacks down. Then, its jacks up motor run to inflate air bags and then slides in. My Dutch Star was the opposite, and I have been told it is related to the order in which the rig is assembled. Most mechanics say it doesn't matter, but the factory sez it does. Not sure if this helps or confuses further.

I think you meant jacks UP before slides back in.

It really makes sense why slides go in and out on the air bags when you consider how the slides are constructed. They build the metal framework for the entire wall first. Then they cutout the slide wall and put the build code on it. That part is important as that slide wall can only be used on one coach. The slides are unique. Many other manufacturers build a slide that can be used in a variety of coaches.

I think you folks have answered a question that was confusing me, Thanks.. AIR BAGS, i had not considered them.
My thinking is I want the rig STABLE before extending sides, (Stable and level I might add) air bags,, They do that. This explains why some rigs want jacks first, and others jacks last when setting up camp.. Thanks.
