Key Fob/Keyless Door Lock Issues

Has anyone ever had issues with key fob and or keyless entry unlocking the main door? 2 times this week the key fob nor the keyless entry would unlock the door. You couldn’t hear the lock mechanism move at all. Using the keys and everything functioned normally and didn’t notice any binding.

Any suggestions or things to look at?

Thank you in advance!

I had my coach lose Key Fob recognition once. Called Entegra CS and they had a procedure where I cycled the yellow batt disconnects near chassis batts. After their procedure the coach found the fob and all was good.

I have had no issues with the key fob as long as we are close enough to the coach. We normally lock the deadbolt though.

We rarely use the keyless entry.

Check the two brass contacts on the right side of the door frame as you are entering the coach. They may be loose or dirty. They send the signal to the door lock.

Brass contacts are not loose but I did clean them up. Will keep an eye on things and report back.

Thanks for the help!

Mine has hardly any range on my 2021 Anthem. What kind of range is expected on one of these?

Interesting how we all have very different preferences.

I rarely remove my keyfob from the tray in front of the Xite panel. We lock and unlock almost exclusively with the entrance programmable keys. If we were really worried about someone breaking into the coach, I guess we would use the keys/deadbolt but that has been very rare.

So convenient not worrying about keys... All I have to remember is my key combination and the unlock codes..

Plus having 2 pit bulls inside the RV calms any worries for us of people breaking in.

Plus using the touch buttons only means someone would be able to access the coach in case of emergency. The park always has our phone number and we can call them if needed. I like to think someone would be able to get to my fur babies if I couldn’t. Of course I’d have to be able to give them the code. It’s not perfect but it beats breaking a window.

Goldie

I always have a small sign in the bottom of the small window just aft of the main entrance door on the passenger side that says something like: "I case of an emergency, this coach contains two gray cats. Please call (my phone number) in case of an emergency." It may not save the day completely, but it is an additional layer of protection for our fur babies.

It then would come down to me to decide whether I will give the combination to my door to the emergency person that calls....
