Kitchen sink faucet

Looks like we may have to replace the kitchen faucet. Can't seem to fix the leak where the faucet head and the flexible hose connect.

Has anyone had a similar leak and if so were you able to fix it? What did you do to fix it?

If you couldn't fix it, where did you get a replacement? I asked Entegra but their part department would be more than happy to send us a replacement for $725 plus shipping and handling. Surely, there must be a less expensive alternative?

Regards,

I don't have the answer on how to repair the faucet, and mine is wearing out as well, so I purchased a replacement faucet at Lowes. It is the only faucet that I could find that has the control seperate from the tap. It is a Peerless Decatur P88105LF-SSSD in stainless steel. I am still using the original in the RV but am carrying this as a spare.

If the leak is at a fitting, can you replace the fittings, or replace the hose with another that has new fittings?

Any faucet from Lowes, etc will work, your choice. I replaced on in my TT with this:

Brushed Nickel Single Handle Pull Out Hybrid Kitchen Faucet, Hardware for Three Hole or Single Hole Mount Included

True you can replace it with one from Lowes, but I recommend taking your old one with you. I did it last month and had to buy a couple adapters to get the existing water lines to connect to the new faucet. I think it was around $14 above the cost of the faucet.

The head in mine is leaking, does not shut off right away. At my PDI Entegra said they do not have parts to repair them and replaced the entire faucet. I had to wait for mine to be delivered from the vendor and received it the day we left. I have to change it, but at least I have it.
Personally, I would change it to another faucet that parts are available for.

If you have an independent plumbing shop in your area, they "might" be able to help with a repair kit, it's worth a try. Mine has come up with some amazing solutions to old plumbing in properties I've owned.

Kitchen faucets from big box stores are now running from around a hundred to over 500 dollars. Go pick what you like and fits you budget and go happy.

The faucets that they put into these MH's are over priced pieces of crap. IMHO. We've replaced ours once with a complete faucet from Entegra under warranty. Then when the replacement faucet failed we repaired it with parts from Huntington Brass who was more than willing to send parts with no questions. They must know they have some questionable units. After it finally broke again, we replaced it with a Moen faucet and all has been fine since. Entegra must have got a real deal on these units is all I can say.

Thanks. What model Moen did you get? From all the replies it sounds like the best route if the plumber cant fix is to buy a unit from either Lowes or HD.

As always thanks for the great responses.

Regards,

We replaced with a Moen 7594ESRS Arbor With Motionsense Touchless One-Handle High Arc Pulldown Kitchen Faucet. It's a two hole faucet. It came with a soap fountain but we kept the original which made it a single hole installation. We purchased a 1.50 inch Stainless steel blank to cover the extra hole from the control handle of the previous faucet. The touchless is convenient at times and a pain in the butt at other times, it takes getting used to. It has two filters that got pugged the immediately after I installed but you can remove and clean them. We bought ours at Home Depot and probably paid less that $400.

Update on Huntington Brass Kitchen faucet. My original faucet hose for the head broke the other day. I installed the new in the box one I received from Entegra and it is also broken. The spray head will not lock into the faucet, it's hanging down an inch. I called Huntington Brass and they don't even answer their phone. They are for sure not a Delta or Moen caliber company. I doubt I will even try to get this one replaced.

I will check with the plumbing manager at Lowe's on what is a good replacement unit.
