Larger wire for solar

I am looking at 3 or 4 Anthem 18 to 19 has anyone installed larger wire say # 4 for solar?

I used #6. A lot depends on the connectors attached to the solar panels. Some won't accept #4 which seems like overkill to me.

I did not use the factory wiring and ran my own #4 cable from my combiner box down to the solar controller in the basement.

I came down from the roof in behind the 1/2 bath cabinet by measuring from a point on the vent cover. Then over to the outside wall in behind the G5 panel and down to the basement from the sink cabinet. Depending on which model you choose there should be a way to get to the basement from the roof.
