LCI Electric/Hyd Jack Leak

Has anyone had their leveling Jacks leak and replaced them yourself? Our passenger rear jack on our Ď17 Insignia is leaking which appears to be internal as all lines coming in and out of the jack are tight. Working with Entegra now but of course space there is limited and looks like it will be a real PITA to replace.

Any advice would be appreciate. Click image for larger version

The cylinders should be rebuildable. Inquire at large construction rental or sales outfits. They should be able to do themselves or put you in the right direction of who can do it in your community.

There were a few going back to the Travel Supreme days that had leaking jacks. Many removed the jacks themselves to have rebuilt. Fortunately I did not have the problem and this is the first one I have seen reported on an Entegra. Those old post might still be on RVNet.

My leaking Hyd jack is back. I had previously checked all the fittings to make sure they were tight. Seems to be happening on extended stays of 2+ weeks. Have to see what Entegra says this time.

I had a problem with my LCI jacks and Entegra put me in touch with LCI and got me an appointment the next day in Indiana. They replaced the jack and also set the level correctly.

Do you happen to have their contact info? Iíve sent an email to Entegra but will also send a request to LCI as well.

Well Entegra and LCI replied to my emails and bad news is they donít sell a seal rebuild kit and they recommend changing the Hyd leveler jack.

LCI has the part for $715 and Entegra sells it for $545. Not sure how that works out, but will report back in the 4-6 weeks after it arrives.

LCI doesn't have the seals because they don't build the cylinders. Try to get the name of the cylinder manufacturer and you should be able to buy the seals. If you can't get that information, as someone stated earlier, find a local rebuild shop and they should be able to take it apart and replace the seals without a "kit".
