Leaves in awnings over slides

I know this has been discussed on here before, but I can't find it. I have a lot of leaves in the slideout awning housing. Can someone tell me which screws to loosen to tip up the cover to get them out. I think there are three around the outside and two inside. I dont want to break anything, so I had better ask. Thanks,

Mike

On the end of the awnings there is a silver set screw that comes out (about and inch and a half, but not completely) that you loosen. Then it pops open. Depending on which topper awning, there may be a clip in the middle as well, that just pops open. The cover then opens downward to a position to clean out the leaves, pine needles, and dust. You may not be able to get all out from between the roller and the slide topper bottom.

So I assume that the set screw is the one on the top if it rotates down?

Correct...and I believe it is an L wrench or a square insert. Not positive. On my coach it has ribs on the outside, about 3/8' head, and colored silver.

Not that hard and a better cleaning method. I don't know why they don't tell you at delivery about it, but I've read in other threads that it should be done once a quarter. Once stuff gets caught up in the roller, it is hard to get out.

The added side benefit...dust will always collect in there. It become a source of dirt streaks when you wash your coach, regardless of who or how you do it.

Agree Dave. Slideout cleaning from debris not covered in PDI, Youtube videos, or manual. I think a link on the Entegra website for owner tips would be valuable and save them money in CS phone calls.

If I remember correctly, I found the how in one of the owner manuals. Had Florida pine needles sticking out and really looking bad prior to going to Tampa show. Didn't want Corey's coach to look better than mine

A better place IMHO would be the Entegra Club website forum.
