5 amp fuse goes to positive, it powers something.
The other item is a temp sensor that adjusts the inverter charger or solar controller charging output, with changing temps.
Check with the battery company to see if they even want you to use it.

The wire in the first picture looks like the temperature sensor wire. See if it runs to the inverter/charger. Mine was connected to the negative terminal.
When I changed my batteries and did all the testing on the non charging issue, I did not see a fused wire on my 21 Cornerstone.

Everyone who changes/replaces house batteries ends up with one wire that is not diagrammed in the schematic received with the coach (or received from Middlebury). It is best to diagram each wire (size, color, routing) before removal to ensure that everything goes back on the same terminal it was removed from. Larry Beckner and I both struggled with this "extra" wire and both of us ended up attaching it to the same post. I'll try to find that post and add that link. But guarantee the location before starting.
Edit following posting: I have searched for the post that discussed this extra wire and I have come up with nothing. I know its on here. I will keep working on this but someone may have marked that link before I find it. More later
Gary

Damn........... I found the link to that forum file !!! On page three you will find a full discussion by me and Larry Beckner of the mysterious extra wire that Larry and I found when we installed new house batteries. Larry and I both scratched our heads when we discovered the "extra wire" is not in the schematic diagram when we swapped out our cheap house battery AGMs with high quality new AGMs.
I would suggest reading all pages and entries in this thread.
https://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/hou...nt-564385.html
Larry Beckner and I describe what we did with the extra wire not shown in a schematic diagram. I don't mean to suggest that you simply follow what Larry and I did with that extra wire... but reading this thread will get you close to figuring out how to determine where the wire goes. Research the issue.
Larry and I compared notes and came up with the same "answer" after consulting by telephone. Where that mystery wire attaches is probably now clear to the customer service people in Middlebury. Be sure and confirm with a phone call.

In my 2015 Aspire the wire with the 5 amps fuse connects to the "bank" positive terminal and it feeds the EC30 battery voltage "sense". This is needed to ensure the generator starts on low voltage when set to Auto. I had to increase the voltage setting when I went with LifePo4. You may have to do the same.

For those of you that have installed lithium, I can't get the Manum to charge it past 13.2 volts. I called Magnum and set it up how they wanted it and it still does not top them off.
Have any of you been able to find a work around?

Do we happen to know where on the invertor it's connected. I'm not the slimmest guy and it is hard to get in there.

What inverter do you have, Magnum or Xantrex? It will look like a telephone line connection and will be located on one of the sides of the inverter. It should have a label of BTS (battery temp sensor) or something similar

Magnum
There is another sensor that has magnum written on it and it has a telephone type wire connected to it. This wire is round, at least at the connector
