Locking Key Pad

We have a 2016 Anthem and have noticed these past few days that the sound that the alarm makes when locking and un-locking the doors with the key pad has changed . Is this something that we should be worried about and has anyone else noticed a change in the sound that their alarm makes ? Hopefully this is not a concern. Thank you for all replies.....Alan

Same thing just started to happen on our 2019 Anthem. Instead of the normal chirping sound it sounds like a sick bird. Door sometimes wonít unlock and have to use the key. I have an appointment for some other repairs next month so will have it looked at. In the meantime Iím making sure I have my key with me wherever Iím outside the coach.

Happened on my 14, it didn't bother me, then it went back to it normal sound. It never stopped working so I didn't worry about it. I actually like the dull sound better.

My coach makes no sound, crisp or otherwise when locking the door. My Anthem did, but this Cornerstone never did. I know that it can be turned on and off but have never cared for the beep so have not worried about it.

HI Allen, Yes our 16 also occasionnally does the same and either self corrects or I shut off the 12 volt ( salesman ) switch and all is good until the next time !

Occasionally our keyless entry stops working for some reason (2016 Anthem). Iíve had luck resetting the system by pulling the two fuses in the DS compartment below the the driverís seat. There is one fuse in each of the two fuse boxes labeled ďkeyless entryĒ. We also keep a set of door keys available just in case the system stops working and change the fob batteries at least annually.

Polishing or lightly buffing the door contacts and frame contacts is something that needs done probably once per year unless you camp by salt water

Crocus cloth or very fine Emory cloth to remove oxidation
