After using both systems, I definitely prefer the Mascerator system because it is already hooked up, cleaner and faster to use.

After admittedly brief usage, I am liking the macerator. The issues I have read about seem to be fixed and the gray doesn't need the macerator on to dump

Question for Sanicon Turbo users - do you have problems getting the 1 ½ inch hose to fully drain after turning off the Macerator? I try lifting the hose from the rig housing and walking toward the drain 3 or 4 times, and although some of the grey water will drain, it never completely drains the hose for me. When I finally start to return the hose to the storage bay, I will always get a fair amount of liquid to release once I get to the end of the hose to the coach. It feels like some kind of vacuum won't let the hose fully empty via gravity alone. I have to be doing something wrong. Haven't had this problem with the 3" slinky hose.

Same thing happens to me. I do the same thing you do but I always get some slop at the end. Maybe I am just not waiting long enough.

Think the reason for that is the drop off back a ways in the compartment. The hose falls down in it when full and you can not get all of the liquid out. Yes, that is common to all of the new ones because of the space required to stow the 21 ft hose. Not sure of a fix and Entegra has not solved it to date either. All JMHO

Have you tried leaving the gray water valve open while walking down the hose? It seemed to help on mine

I think the Turbo Macerator has it's place while the old stand by 3" slinky also has it's place. For example: at our son's house we were able to tap into his sewer line outside of his house as it runs right past where we park so perfect for gravity dump w/3" slinky. At our daughters we are 50+ feet away from the outside line BUT now with the macerator we have tapped into a cleanout near a basement window only 15' away and about 18" above us and it works great !

I also was wondering if that would help. You have to break the vacuum to get good drainage that's the reason the slinky drains so good because the end is open. And the fact Entegra has the hose going up hill from the plumbing does not help. Gravity is you best friend when draining a hose. How do I know? Look at my name.😀

Leaving the grey valve open doesn't seem to help mine. I did put the camloc fittings on all the connections. I just take the end off and put the camloc plug in, when getting ready to leave, then no mess. Noel

My 1&1/2 inch hose is clamped onto what appears to be a hose barb rising vertically near the back wall of the hose storage "well" behind the flat plate with hole for the discharge end fitting. I was told at delivery that this is the design they began using after the problems were reported (as posted above). I assumed this design would solve the problem as there is no obvious way the hose could be cut. I have always removed the entire hose from the storage well so that it is laying flat on the flat plate leading to the access door, regardless of how much hose is actually needed to reach the sewer. In spite of the improved design and my attempts to protect the hose from flailing around inside its compartment, I have developed a significant leak which appears almost instantly after turning on the macerator. My dealer has offered to order and install a new hose from Entegra after confirming it is leaking where the hose exists the smooth "collar" that is clamped onto the hose barb with 2 worm gear hose clamps.
I see no easy way to even reach back in there far enough to reach the clamps, much less to remove the barb and add an elbow to the hard piping below the barb, which would prevent the hose from making the 90 turn which I believe has caused the leak.
Anybody got any idea about how to access the vertical piping so as to install an elbow?

I'll be using the bottom dump macerator by-pass and 4" stinky slinky until this macerator hose issue can be addressed. :(

We had the same problem and the same set-up. Entegra sent a new hose and had a mobile tech install a 90 degree fitting on the end and that took care of the issue. I am glad they handled it as I am not sure I could reach it to do the repair.

Thank you for that reply. Hopefully they will provide the same for my repair.
So far, ALL my coach issues have been minor and BOTH locations of NIRVC have been very attentive to my needs.
