They are off the shelf sewer caps that I drilled out. I then inserted a male banjo fitting into the hole and glued it in place. I did need to grind the bottom section of the fitting to get it to fit snugly.

Before walking the hose, unclip one side of the banjo fitting where the hose connects inside of the compartment. That will break the vacuum and allow the hose to drain with one walk.
I added a small spring to the macerator door, just for the safety of not getting it sheared off from the wet bay door. NIRVC is now including those with their new deliveries. Nice.
Long stays, I have the tenancy to use the slinky. I leave a clear elbow on the connection under the coach for easier connecting of the slinky.

Chuck you have a pic of the door spring you added. When i took delivery of my coach that door was broken for that reason so im very careful about it when i close the wet bay down but at my age i can see it happening again

I copied this. My spring is a little longer, just guessed where to dill the holes, bought it at Ace Hardware. https://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/mac...ed-426583.html

We use eithe the macerator hose or slinky depending on how long we are parked. We use the macerator except when parked for a month or more. Just seems more practical not to use the macerator for long term stays. One less item to breakdown. We use to leave the gray valve open, but ran into an issue that was a lesson learned not to do so. To make tank management more convenient I installed remote switches in the half bath for the grey valve and macerator so I can conveniently empty the gray tank without going outside. I also installed a lockout switch in the wet bay so the remote is locked out except when I have the sewer hose connected. I saw no need for remote switch for the black tank as I always back wash the black tank that requires too close attention to rely on remote operation.
