On your coach the suction cup would mount in front of your door, just above your mirror, with another similar suction cup on the driver's side. The windshield covers have an aluminum bar sewn into them that allows the fabric to stay upright even though the suction cup mounting is placed down low. The aluminum bar (which is never seen) gives good taught structure to the cover and when you remove the cover you just roll the fabric up around the metal bar, like a paper towel rolls around its roller core.

When the windshield covers are off, your coach is exactly as it was before with no magnets or snaps or anything else showing.

I will try to post photos soon.

I am a big proponent of Magnashade, the big driver for me is not having to use a ladder at any step of the process. On my Essex the windshield screen fits tight and wrinkle free, we have not had a wind issue yet (although I am sure at some point we might).

Here are photos of the Promptscreen, taken at Corey's coach. They install and remove in two minutes with no ladder and no tools. In the photos they are a little wrinkled, but when these photos were taken they had just come out of the bag, and after the sun is on them for a day they should smooth out.

On the passenger side you can see the single suction cup that attaches the windshield shade on that side. On the door, you can't see the suction cups because they are under the fabric and attached to the door window. (Sorry about the crooked photo. I uploaded it in the correct orientation but aparrently IRV2 thought it looked better turned on its's side.)

On the driver's side you can see the other suction cup for the windshield shade, attached to a stiff rubber cord which places tension on the windshield shade. There is also a shade for the driver's window (not shown) which attaches to the windshield shade at the front with a clip, and a suction cup that attaches to the glass in the rear.

I used this system on my previous coach and really like it. So did Chuck (Brobox)

Total cost for everything is under $500.

That's great Marc, my comment was not critical of any manufactures shades just that I choose not to use a ladder. The fact that Prompsceen doesn't require a ladder to install is a great feature. I will look at them for my side Windows.

Thanks for the picture Marc, I was wonder how the new long suction cup attached, now I now. That is different than the TS was, which is nicer if you only want the front shade for a day or two. The TS had to connect to the driver window shade which at times I didn't need to use it, but had to to hold the windshield shade. The wrinkles do come out after the first time up, let them warm in the sun for 1/2 an hour and re-stretch. After that they are fine. Nice shine on Corey's coach.

I put my shades on Wineman's coach to try them out, he ordered a set right away Since I don't have a MH to play with, I have been having fun helping him, rig out his new Anthem and toad.

Why windshield shades instead of just day shades?

Because they are outside, they stop the sun before it gets into the coach, and keep the coach much cooler. In addition you could use them in conjunction with the day shades for even more effect.

My current coach has a set made by a local shop, installed with snaps, but made to hold 1/2" foam pipe insulation under it to keep it from touching the window. It's only 4 pieces but holds it off really well so there is an air space between the shade and the windshield. I don't have a photo but picture 4 vertical sections of this insulation spaced equally across the window. They just look like dark bars from inside the coach and are hardly noticeable on the outside.

I live in deep south TX where it is really Hot! The shop that made my screens recommended this and it is truly incredible. Without it still gets pretty warm near the windshield. Not hot like with no shade but still much warmer than the rest of the coach. With them inserted the front of the coach stays cool.

Anyone ever seen or tried this? Any ideal if this could be done under the Magne Shade? I'm thinking probably not, but did post a message to Roger for his input.
