Maintenance schedule

I just recently bought an 18 entegra anthem and read the entire owners manual but couldn't find any maintenance schedule. Besides the yearly lube oil filter, is there anything else I need to do, ie generator, aquahot, etc. and how often? Thanks.

In the Spartan Chassis owner's manual there is a maintenance schedule that includes filters and lube periodicity. Did you get a Spartan owner's manual?

Here is the one from my '19 Anthem.

Hopefully you received the "bag of books" with the coach. It will have the Spartan DVD that was just linked along with the Cummins DVD and all of the other manufactures maintenance and repairs brochures and manuals. The Aqua Hot manual is is there along with online.

Yes, I did receive the entegra briefcase that had physical manuals like entegra owners manual while others are on cds. However, I misplaced that briefcase so I thought maybe I can ask the people on this forum as I want to bring in the coach for annual service but not sure what else do I need besides the usual lube oil and filter. Thanks.

Here is the one from my '19 Anthem.
That's interesting that your 19 anthem spartan manual recommends oil and fuel filter change 15000 miles or every 12 months whereas my 18 anthem spartan manual recommends change 15000 mi or 6 months. So is it 6 months or 12 months? I always thought it was 12 months. I went to Cummins website and it states for isl9 450 engines it is 20000 miles or 12 months. In the Onan generator manual, it recommends to change oil and filter 1st 50 hours then every 250 hours but didnt mention any time frame. Some people state they change this yearly when they do their engine oil change. Trying to figure out what is everybody doing and what is recommended.

When we purchased our 2017 Aspire in 8/17, the Cummins site said 12 months for the engine (can't remember the mileage). However, sometime in 2018 that changed to 6 months, and now (you're correct) it states 20K miles or 1 year.

We received a Spartan maintenance interval sheet with our coach, and it simply stated 1 year on engine oil and filter (no mileage indicated).

And, to further the "mystery", here's a copy of a post from irv2 from last September:
"Spartan manual: 12 months
Cummins owners guide (dated August '18): 6 months
Cummins operations and maintenance guide (dated April '18): 12 months"

Regarding the generator: we had warranty work performed late last year, and the region supervisor told me to ONLY go by the number of hours for generator service.

So, for our coach, I'm trying to keep it simple: doing engine and chassis service annually (we'll never hit the milage numbers), and I'm going by the hourly schedule for the generator. Thanks,

BG

Cummins posted a revision onto Quickserve Jan 19 that revises oil change intervals for the 450 (in MHs)to 500 hrs, 20k miles or 18 Months whichever comes first. This was validated at a local Cummins shop!

Well Cummins has made that crystal clear. Maybe 6 months, maybe 12 months, or maybe 18 months, take your pick!!! I will stick with 12 months.

Thanks. As you can see, there is a lot conflicting information that causes confusion for us entegra owners. I understand that there are many different components by different manufacturers but there has to be some consistency that is given to us in a straightforward manner where we can readily access this pertinent information.

I guess like others I am going with 12 years on engine oil and filter change. But still wondering on the Onan generator frequency.

What is your maintenance schedule on the aquahot? Is there anything else I'm missing?
Thanks.

I'm sure others will chime in with a more complete list but we do oil, filters and lube annually, generator based on hours and AquaHot at least annually - some find 9 months is better. If your AquaHot wasn't serviced recently, that would be the first thing I would do. They're pretty unforgiving when they need service.

Onan Generator is 250 hours after the first 50 hour oil change. Air filter at 500 hours unless the generator has been used while on dirt, then it will be as needed.

The generator is so easy to change, I change it every year before our summer trip so I don't have to worry about while we're traveling.
