Did the same thing in stix & bricks under house. Wife smelled moth balls for months and asked, "how many moth balls did you use?" It was just a small box. 😇

We discovered evidence of mice this evening. Some in the coach but a lot of evidence in the basement. Pulling out all the stops. Baited snap traps in several locations, 2 sonic repellents and 4 scent repellents in the basement along with more traps, 2 traps in the power and water bays and few baited sticky traps in strategic places. Tonight is gonna get cold so I expect the darn mice to try and get in again. BRING IT ON! LOL

Hoping I don't turn into a Bill Murry character like in Caddie Shack.

After we get down to TX we will plan to do the Mouse Free treatment.

We have a heavily wooded lot with plenty of rodents. I've tried most (if not all) of the remedies (mothballs, peppermint oil, dryer sheets, electronic repellant devices, etc.) and none of them worked for us. Even if you are able to plug every opening you may keep them out of the coach, but your engine and genset wiring is still exposed. In my previous rig (97 Winne Vectra) I had to remove the generator twice for mouse related damage.

I finally built a barrier using 12" tall aluminum flashing around the entire rig with a removable gate. Either they can't climb the smooth surface or they just don't try. In any case, since I installed it in 2007 our RV has been mouse free. I do need to be vigilant about removing the snow around the barrier all winter long, but it is worth the effort. I hope you do not need to go to this extreme, but it is the only thing that worked for us. Good luck.

We use a combination of things that seems to have worked very well for the five months a year that our Berkshire is stored. We use the dryer sheets and Irish Spring Soap. We also sprinkle moth balls around the bottom of the coach. This is our fourth winter storing the rig and so far we have had no rodents at all.

I'm not sure if our remedies work or if it's like the old joke about the guy who raises radishes to keep out the marmots. When his friend says, "There's no marmots around here." He replies, "See it works." Not sure if that is the case with our mouse repellents, but so far, so good.

I think this is an ideal solution, and a good preventative.
