Michelin X Coach tires. Good or Bad Idea?

Hello all,

I am replacing my front tires that are currently Goodyear. I am replacing them with Michelin X Coach tires.

Good Or Bad?

Gary

Warning, this is like asking Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge. Everyone has their fav's. With that said, I love the Michelin's on mine. Very smooth ride and wear has been great . I hear a lot like the Toyo's too.

Ha ha ha,

Never thought of that. All I know is my goodyears are shot and I need to replace them. I can't say I have heard anything positive about goodyear.

Thanks for the input.

Have them on mine for 2 years no issues and smooth ride. Would buy them again.

I have XZA2 on my front. Could not be happier! Replaced the Good Years 2 years ago. Great for my taste.

We put the X Coach tires on our 2016 Aspire two years ago. I'm happy and so is the DW, that we did. We have a friend who recently didn't fare so well with his 2016 Aspire Goodyear steers.

I have seen the XZA2. I don't understand the difference though.

Thank you. My Goodyear drivers side front has cracks over 10 inches long. They were a quarter inch long about 150 miles ago. Seems they are ready to blow any time.

When I was a truck driver years ago, we use to bring in and deliver a lot of Toyo tires by the container load. They got popular really fast.

If the tires are 295X80X22.5, I would select Michelin X COACH HL Z as this tire has a higher load rating than their other options. If tires are 275 X80X22.5 be sure to select H rated tires not G for the same reason.

Put this on my front for the higher load rating. Had them about 2 years - they drive and ride great. (295 80R 22.5)

I replaced the Goodyear on the front only due to the number of Aspires with front blow outs on this forum. Still running Goodyear 275's on the back that are 3.5 years old, and they are wearing and riding fine.

Answer to your first and main questionh...

Buying the Michelins are a smart thing to do. They are great tires. Had 315s on my 15 Anthem and now 365s on my 19 Cornerstone. Mine have been X series tires.... the ride very well, they wear very well, and they are the most important tires on your coach.... dont scrimp to save a buck.... Go ahead and buy them, IMO....
