Micro-Air Thermostat Upgrade for Classic
I just purchased a Micro Air digital bluetooth/wifi thermostat to replace the OG thermostat in my Anthem coach. I have to say it was the easiest, most seamless install possible. Simply remove the old one and install the new one. Completely plug and play. They even give you a template for the screws needed to hang it. It is pre programmed and everything just works like the old thermostat except now I can control all of the zones from my phone or the unit itself. Great product.

We’ve been using the MA for about 2.5 years now. Couldn’t be happier. Easily the best mod you can do.

I think there a few new Classic owners on the forum. If you are reading this thread and are not familiar with Micro-Air, it is a replacement thermostat for your AirXcel thermostat.
https://www.microair.net/
You want to got to Easy Touch section and follow the prompts.
Why switch?
Easier to work.
Works with both Bluetooth and WiFi.
More flexible. You can select a variety of heating and cooling options that will make everyday living more comfortable.
If I have one complaint, it can’t connect via Bluetooth after normal software upgrades to my iPad or iPhone.
Bluetooth is how it finds your position for weather, temps, etc.
It’s a minor complaint.

Have you used a bluetooth finder app to try and connect. Once I lost bluetooth on my mac due to trying to connect an hp printer. It splattered the software in the computer. Next update from Apple and all was well. But once in a blue moon I would lose bluetooth to the garmin seelevel and had to either unpower it (a pain, it's in the wet bay) or use a Bluetooth finder app. No problems so far after switching to an iPhone from android

You can be running your Aquahot in the cold and still use the fans in your A/C units to circulate air. Can force A/C units to only use high or low speed fan. Can't do anything like that with original thermostat. Many other excellent options available.
Later...

Not just for the classics - my 2019 Aspire was the last without VT. I hated the OEM thermostat - most confusing POS I've seen lately. The MA replacement was even easier than plug n play. Great company with great customer service and they have a whole line of these replacements for most RV thermostats.
Oh, and BTW, if the BT doesn't work, does the wifi? As long as your coach has an internet connection you can connect to the thermostat.

It easily finds WiFi. But MA uses Bluetooth connection to update location, temp, weather. Not the WiFi.
Whenever we get updates, this is the only software that fails. I have to go in and change password each time, and we move often.
In our current location, outside temp 68°. MA shows 95°(Phoenix). The last time I updated it.

I see. While not vital, that's good information to have on the display. Probably something simple, but I wouldn't know where to start looking. However, from past experience years ago when their easy start first came out, their customer support is next to none. If you haven't already, drop them an email or phone.

I have sent them an email on the weekend, not expecting an answer until some time during the week and I get an answer during the weekend.

I agree, their CS has been good. I may check with them again on this subject.
Thanks.

I know a few folks had gotten new ones with new icons.
I had not updated mine for a year. Mostly because I had no issues and wasn’t concerned about the local temp/weather.
So, I decided to update the software. Deleted old app, install new with a new password. All good.
The new icons are really nice, but took a bit to figure out the differences.
If your MA is still running the older version with the smaller zones in the upper right hand corner, download the latest version.

The later updates let you turn all ac's or heat on or off with 1 button push. I will be excited when I will be able to change the temperature on all ac or heat with I button push.
