Microair Easy Touch installation
I didn't expect it to stump me so quickly.
It's installed and shows all 3 zones.
If I press the wrong buttons I can make the heat pump fans come on, so I guess it works.
I changed the type setting to "1"
I installed the app on my Android phone a couple days ago, and made an account.
I go into the app, it wants me to add a device, but the list is blank.
I did a reset bluetooth on the thermostat, no help, list is blank.
I went into bluetooth pairing on my phone, the easy touch is there.
Directions say no need to pair it, good cause it won't. But it is there.
Without the app connecting to the device via bluetooth, it's impossible to setup the wifi, app won't run, can't do much of anything.
Operating this thing is not exactly intuitive, good thing it's not getting cold here in the foreseeable future.
Rob, current firmware lets you define the "dead zone" when you put it in auto.
Any tips on the bluetooth?

Been a long time since I installed mine. I screwed up by installing the app before I install thermostat. I ended up deleting everything and starting over Everything worked perfect the 2nd time

Thanks!
Figured I'd try DW's iPhone, and it connected bluetooth right away.
I changed the name and tried the Android, and it saw the device and connected to it.
I tried to do the wife setup, 3 times on the iPhone, twice on the 'droid.
It went through the motions but niether phone would connect, just said "loading" for awhile, finally giving an "no device" message.
So I'm halfway there.
The interface isn't more intuitive in the app, but I'm thinking it's learnable.
I wish all the icons were bigger so I could control it without my reading glasses. I can see the temp and mode, the little tiny zone #'s are giving me trouble.
I'll be reading on the wifi connection, I seem to recall in one or more of the 30 threads I read on this thing that wifi was tricky.
Appreciate any tips?

ok, we're cooking with gas now.
Reading MicroAir's troubleshooting guide, it says in red 2.4 Ghz networks only. Ooops. Reconnected to the 2.4, thermostat came up with a green wifi icon!
When I went in the house I'd lost (bluetooth) connection, restarted the app, got a green wifi icon on the app and hooked right up.

I and others have complained about the small Icons. I was told it was on their list to address. This was a few years ago, so may never happen.
I and others have complained about not having a single button or an ease way to adjust all the the AC's the same. Such as one button to turn all AC's on cool to 72 degrees
I use my phone or tablet more to adjust, turn on or off then I do going to the thermostat.

I wonder how big those icons would be on a tablet?
Or is there a windows app?

If it might help others out setting up in the future. Just fought the same problem in the S&B adding a Mesh 6 routers as our internet recovery from Ian will take several more month. The new Mesh system does not split 2.4 and 5 Ghz. It is left up to the devices to make the choice. One device, is too dumb to make the choice and forcing 2.4ghz on it would not work. I had to set up the Guest network on 2.4 Ghz only then sign the device onto that, after days of pulling my hair out, it worked. Four calls to CS, they were not aware of that trick to get 2.4Ghz only for their devices.

I believe the Icons are a little different between phone and thermostat. I like the ones on the phone better.
When I get back home I will look and see if the icons are bigger on the tablet. It think they are.
I do not believe there is a windows app, just android or apple.
Chuck, Good comment, when I went to set up my home wifi I was told to also sent up a 2.4 for devices that only will only work on 2.4. When I go and set up devices in my home I use the 2.4 verses the plain one that can do both.
Originally I had a a wifi with just 3 letters. The thermostat did not like that and I had to change to a longer name before the thermostat would connect.
