Mid bath access
I have an Anthem RBQ and you can access the mid bath with the slides in w/o difficulty. Access to the rear bath , w/ the slides in requires climbing over the bed which we simply don't do. I assume that in most if not all rear bath models the bed slide and the vanity slide close off the rear bath when the slides are in.
I was in Bend today and got on a "W", not a Cornerstone, and was surprised that you couldn't get the mid bath door more than about a third of the way open with the slides in. Although I didn't check closely it looked like access to the refrigerator was limited. I was afraid to open the doors as I didn't want to ding a door.
We travel with 3 grand children and they use the mid bath constantly, especially on longer runs. It's also not uncommon for us to eat lunch on the road and therefore fridge access is important.
I looked again at all the offered floor plans ,but with the exception of single bath models ( not with my grandson) and perhaps the "B" all the Cornerstone's seem to suffer from mid bath access. The "b" simply wont work for us insofar as it lacks enough sleep space.
I don't believe I've read about this issue and I can't believe we are the only family that needs access to the mid bath while traveling. What am I missing? Oh, and I am not what you call skinny.

Dan, we love our 44R. Bunks, bath and a half, convertible living room dining room combo. The mid bath has a pocket door, access isn't an issue.
It is the coach I always wanted Tiffin to build, but Entegra beat them to the punch.
Our kids are 6 & 8 and we've had bunks in this coach and our previous QKH for about 6 years. We wouldn't be without the bunks.
Now, if EC would produce a 44R in the Anthem, it would be hard to resist.

I saw the pocket door while looking at floor plans. Seems like an easy solution from the factory.

There is a stop on the bottom of the door. You can move/remove that and it makes access to mid bath easy. We have no problem.

Can you tell me what model you have and whether or not you are referring to a pocket door. My concern is accessing the 1/2 bath on a Cornerstone "W" or an "A" or an "F" for that matter. All have opposite slide walls that encroach on the 1/2 bath.

We have a 13 anthem RBQ and also have 3 young grandkids with us. 3,6 and 9. They can access the mid bath and fridge fine while traveling
What we do is bring a futon mattress that stays on the bed. For bed time we pull it out to the main living area and our grandson who is 9 sleeps there. The two younger girls sleep on the pullout beds
For us it is perfect
I am also not so skinny . I think it is from to much BBQ

Phil
Same plan we use but we use an inflatable mattress. We are upgrading and access to the 1/2 bath is important while traveling. Sales manager said he'd never heard of a situation where you couldn't access the 1/2 bath. Wife suggested he try the "W" Insignia on their lot. Still waiting for a reply.

We travel in a class A mainly for the access to a bathroom while traveling. I totally understand the need to have access as good as the RBQ while traveling. DW would not even consider another floor plan that was not accessible comfortably and she is thin. You made a good point Dan. We quit flying just for that reason.

Ditto, Chuck. And multiply that by 3 kids who never have to "go" until we've left the restaurant, rest area, or whatever. And, never at the same time.

Attached are photos of mid-bath entry and refrigerator sent by salesman. Looks tight to me. Photos are from an Insignia "W".
Leaving for Bend first thing in the morning as I'm not near as svelte as my salesman. I need to check things out personally.

Dan, have the salesman put a tape measure to that area. My DW would be fine with that door opening, she could get in there with no problem. Looks as large as the door opening on an airliner. How you will fit getting there is going to be trial and error. Let us know how much room is there.

Dan, that reminds me of our Phaeton 40QKH, which had the same exact setup.
Problem was, with the slides in, and bunks opposite that door, it didn't open nearly that far.
What I did was install a child safety lock on the top of the door, and corresponding location for the anchor at the top of the hallway behind the door opening.
This way, we fully opened and latched the door prior to pulling the slides and simply left it open. Fortunately in our family, the kids respect the need for privacy. If needed, a curtain could be installed for use while driving.

I'm sorry....hundreds of thousands of dollars for a coach that you have to jury rig a curtain in order to get privacy for the bathroom simply would not work for me. Thankfully our RBQ allows easy access to both bath and fridge. We wouldn't have purchased it otherwise. If manufacturers think they can design a coach that doesn't allow access to both I'd vote with my wallet. And make sure they knew why. Yesh!

Chuck, Matt thanks for the reply's. We're heading for Bend (Middlebury West) this AM to check things out for ourselves. The real question is whether I can scrunch myself through that opening. Curtain idea may work as well. Stay tuned.
