Mid bathroom toilet blocking.

Is anyone else experiencing our annoying issue? Our mid bath toilet is getting blocked down on the bend as it enters the main black water tank. We are using the correct RV paper so that is not the problem. I have had to unblock it manually and all it seems to be is toilet tissue that has just built up and not flushed away. Any ideas as to what might be causing this to happen?? There doesn't seem to be any tight turns into the tank

The brand/style of toilet might help with some advice.

How much water are you using? Is the toilet flowing water as it flushes?
We use Costco standard TP with no blockage problems, but also use plenty of water.

Without knowing the year and model of your coach, there is no way I can tell you anything that might be helpful.

According to his profile he has a 2015 Anthem 44B. IF that is the case I suspect he is not putting in extra water BEFORE the flush. If you will push the fill button 6-8 times before the flush it will put enough extra water in to carry the paper to the black tank. All JMHO

If that is what he has, I have the very same coach, and adding extra water is not necessary (in my coach) to successfully flush the toilet. So, that argues to me that there is something wrong with his coach. This has not been an issue for anyone else that I am aware of with a 44B. So, there may be work-arounds, but my point is simply that the data argues that Mychech has a situation that is not common, and probably suggests that he has a problem with his specific rig that probably needs examination by a good tech. Not sure of the vintage of the coach, but I would put this in the laps of Entegra CS, or if far out of warranty, then call a tech to find the problem and resolve it.

Agree Gary. We use charmin so we have always just used extra water.

It still takes a correct amount of water to the ratio of paper used to flush it. If a large wad of paper is used and no additional water added to the bowl to flush it, it will get hung up.

If the flush is not flowing water then it could be a toilet pump.

Mid bathroom Toilet Blocking

Gary I will have to make the number at least two that have this problem with the 1/2 bath. We do put water in prior to using and I keep a plunger nearby as you can see it start to back up and usually knock it right out. I have a snake as well for the times I slip up and do not catch it. I have bought one of the hose extensions so I can get down in and clean the chute to the black tank and do that regularly. There is someone in the coach that does utilize a disproportional amount of toilet paper and does not always remember to put water in the bowl to start the process, but I sure would not want to point fingers at the DW or anything . When I went to Motor Home Specialists to have it looked at they said it was a common challenge with the toilet and suggested we put water in the bowl prior to utilizing. Yes we use the proper RV toilet paper, and I have never had it happen to me I am just saying.....

FWIW two reasons why the load stops. Water outruns the solids or obstruction in the pipe.

When the unit is level there should be a slight downward slope on the pipe. I think 1/4 in per foot. More and the water goes too fast. I'd check pipe level and see if somebody got the geometry wrong as in level or up slope trapping solids.

Obstruction at the joint from debris or glue or whatever. Easiest to find with a camera.

Ok to answer some of the questions I have a 2015 anthem 44b. Yes we do flush more water into the bowl before we empty into the tank. Water is flowing good.. What appears to be the issue is that paper has somehow built up in the pipe to the tank. I guess this is a two inch pipe. This has now stopped water completely from draining from the bowl. So I purchased a flexible swivel stick from Walmart and I plunged it down the pipe the wand has a flex hose of about 3 ft. This is going down the pipe woke but stops and goes no further than that. It is meeting some kind of resistance I don't know if that is a bend in the pipe work or the obstruction. What I know is that the wand cannot push through it. I cannot turn on the wand because of the water that's in the bowl so I really don't know what to do. The water in the bowl is black water so I have to try and get that out somehow:-(. I am just at a loss as to why the wand cannot push past the blockage after all it should only be paper in there

My Chesh had the same exact problem when I went to Motor Home Specialist. Not familiar with the tool you reference but they used a metal snake on mine to get it moving and I keep one as back up on the coach. I have had to use it once carefully as metal plus plastic concerns me. If the tool you are referring to is the same thing, then forget I said this.
