We picked up our Anthem after it spent two months at the dealer, getting the equivalent of an AIR performed, along with all the warranty items that have been ongoing. Picked it up, and everything was fixed, including leaks they said they found in the Equalizer system. I had not noticed any issue, but the tech said it was squirting oil when activated. They replaced an o-ring, then inspected the other three jacks and found a second faulty one, also replaced. Cool, we thought, and went on our way.
Yesterday, about 5 hours into the trip home, the Equalizer system started beeping its warning that the jacks were down, while we were doing 70 on I-10. I hit the raise button, and the warning subsided. About 5 minutes later, same thing. I got to a rest area and looked - the front left jack was all covered in ATF. The pressure would bleed down and the alarm would sound; the pump would raise the pressure and silence the alarm, AND spray fluid all over under there.
A quick call to the dealer gave no response (it was late Saturday, after all, so not surprising). Jacob at Entegra called some long-time guy at Equalizer who stated that the jacks should not be in danger of dropping. At most, perhaps half an inch to an inch. Jacob suggested checking periodically. I cut the power to the pumps using the cutoff switch in the back bay. From then on, whenever I start it beeps like a madman for a bit, then shuts up and sulks with a low voltage light (because although the panel has power, there is none to the pumps). The hardest thing was parking in such a way that I can level it manually using only the other three jacks.
So now I have to find someone local to fix it. I'm not driving all the way back to Arizona for this. That's about a thousand dollars for each trip. Just once I'd like to arrive home from the repair shop with everything repaired. I really thought this time was going to be the time. Ah well, the night shade on the door, which was supposedly replaced, is exhibiting the same problem as the original one, so on we go....
