Good instructions Stu. I threw my red ring away, there is not much adjustment to those, but the instructions show how easy it is.

Much ado about nothing here. There is a mixing valve behind the Aquahot. It is typical for some techs to move the mixing valve through it's range of adjustment to exercise it and prevent it sticking with time. This is done by screwing the valve all the way hot and all the way cold. This has been mentioned many times in the past. The "code" says for a professional third party to reset it to some value to prevent scalding of small children and the infirmed. Like most things you take a risk (and the responsibility) and reset the sob to the hot side of hot so YOU can control the shower or sink temp with the lever in the shower. Your results may vary and you accept the risk. Like those tags on the pillow....don't let the Aquahot mixing valve police catch you doing this illegal adjustment:-)

Why don't you just call the tech and ask him?

Thank you everyone, lots of good advice to be taken. I appreciate all your input. Should learn to service the aquahot myself! Have a nice weekend!

Yeah, sure. I bet you're one of "those guys" who removes the flow restrictor from the shower head, too.
Take care,
Stu
P.S. Just in case there's any doubt, the above is my feeble attempt at humor.

Well hot water is back!! Removed the red ring (2mm Allen wrench) under the shower handle and turned up tempering valve on aquahot a bit and it’s better than ever. Thank you so much for the
detailed suggestions! Hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks for “The Rest of the Story”. Always love to hear the resolution of the problem. Now take a long, hot shower.

Lisa,
I removed that silly plastic ring in the shower handle years ago and have never seen a need to put it back. Like you say more hot water and better user control.

Yep ..me too.. right from the beginning took the red ring out and I also exercise this mixing valve regularly and leave it it fairly high ... never had issues with hot water in the anthem...
