The next thing that will have to be replaced are all of the radiator fill tanks. Mine rusted out from the inside and when I called Spartan they didn't seem overly surprised. Neither was Cummins when I first called them.

Spartan wanted around $1000 for the part but let me buy it wholesale at $606. i have no idea what a shop would charge to replace it but I'll do the deed myself. Just another shortcut from Spartan.

Dave, Make sure Spartan sends you the sensor that goes into that tank. The old ones are very difficult to remove and often break, so a new sensor may be needed. Spartan published a procedure on how to remove the sensor, but they still break. You can still drive the coach but w/o the sensor the engine derates somewhat (maybe to 85% power). When our tank was replaced (under warranty), Spartan did not send the sensor. They said it was ok to drive w/o it. So I did a 900 mile trip and the coach was very sluggish. Upon return, the service company installed the sensor and everything operated normally.

My 2017 Anthem had the radiator replaced about a year ago. The coach was several months out of warranty. Spartan supplied the parts, I paid the labor. I had some history with Spartan regarding coolant loss while the coach was under warranty, I think thats the only reason they covered the parts. The coolant tank was replaced by Spartan a year before the radiator failed.

At first, Spartan wouldn't tell me if they had replaced the radiator or not, eventually they admitted it may be a problem and my Anthem had the original radiator...

When it failed, in Spartan's parking lot, they denied it was under warranty (I found out afterwards, it was) since I had the extended service agreement (and NIRVC went to bat for me) I was able to get it replaced with a Modine radiator

at minimal cost to me...

I now believe Spartan should have picked up the entire cost but at least I got it replaced and only spent one extra day at Spartan. If you have a 2016 - 2018 Entegra, I would recommend getting an extended service agreement from your dealer & I would buy ONLY from NIRVC. I purchased used and NIRVC treated me like I had bought a new million dollar coach, I can't say enough good things about NIRVC...
