"Motion" button
What is the skinny on this "motion" button? Anybody use it? The button on my rig doesn't seem to add much value. Kinda useless.

You mean the motion light button? That's for the two motion lights on the sides of the coach.

Yeah, that is the one, ours seems to constantly go on and off, for no apparent reason. Just curious if others use it and how it works for them. Kind of like the closet light, more of a pita than anything else.

Same issue here. Ours seems like it's pretty sensitive, maybe catching leaves blowing around or something. We leave the motion sensor off...
And don't get me started about the closet light. Fighting that battle now.

Not sure if it applies to everyone’s rig but mine has an open tsb to swap out both of these security lights. May be worth looking into if not completed. Getting mine done next week.

Thanks for mentioning it--we had a completely dead light that was replaced a month or so ago. Haven't tried to see if the motion works better on the newer light. Just figured it would have the exact same problem.

A fix for the closet light is changing the switch. I gave up after 3 factory switches. This one solved the problem. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Mine went from working intermittently to not at all. They were on my list at my 2 year AIR. They replaced them, don't remember if there was a tsb, and they have worked great since. I have yet to figure out how to turn them on properly from the button by the door or over the bed We just turn them on at night from the Vega Touch.

On my ‘18 CS, on the ODS when I turn on motion the light just comes on and stays, like an on/off switch. It fell low on the priority list but now that it is getting dark at 4:30 perhaps its time to dig deeper to see what’s up.

Several have mentioned blinking on and off closet lights in their coach. Chuck mentioned a new switch and I purchased the same switch he discusses but before I got around to installing the new switch (and I am going to publish some technical data about that switch when I get a little more time), I was at Middlebury for my 2 year PDI/AIR. The phantom light turning on at night was on my list of things to be repaired or replaced during the AIR/PDI.
What Entegra did however, was rather than replacing the switch, they installed a small black plastic bezel sort of thing that fastens to the switch that was installed originally. The baffle fixture blocks the "eye" from seeing movement or heat so that the light does not trigger as much as before. Now, we have spent only about a week in the coach since it was fixed by adding this plastic shield, but the closet light has not come on during the night to the best of my, and Dee's, awareness.
Before they added that little shield, I largely resolved the problem by simply wrapping black electrical tape on several sides/surfaces of the light/heat sensor that controls the light. That also largely stopped the light from triggering at night. Now, one of my issues is that we travel with 2 cats, and the cats think that the big closet in the back of the coach is their personal hiding place and they are in and out of the closet during the day and night and some of our false triggering was undoubtedly produced by them going into and coming out of the closet. I am sure that dogs might be able to trigger the light also.
However, for now, the light is not triggering, or we have been so exhausted with our trips to get things fixed that we slept through the blinking light.
Gary
