Multi-Receptacle

Is there anything special about these: Click image for larger version

One of the USB outlets is dead and I'm wondering if I can just go to the big box store and pick up a replacement for it or if I need to get a special RV one.

Thanks,

Nope. Just swap it.

I've found that some cellphones (including my Samsung Galaxy Note) won't go into rapid charge mode with these. I have to end up using a Samsung charger, either 120vAC or a 12vDC / cigarette lighter one).

If that socket is like one that I had to replace on my Anthem, what is unique about them is that the incoming 120 VAC wires are just jammed into a slot. There were no screws or lugs that held the main wires in.... Just shielded wires jammed between two metal blades that pierced the insulation to make connection. I have no idea about the USB sockets but assume there is just a small powersupply that converts down to the voltages needed to recharge. Now, Im not sure that you will find those at a Lowes or Home Depot..... I might be wrong.... they seem very shallow.

Mike,

I've just posted my replacement/installation of 2 standard plugs. The wall side is shallow but that is most likely why they have placed a spacer on this plug along with the plug (USB capable) on the driver's side wall behind the TV on the "B" model. You could try purchasing a replacement at H/D/Lowes etc., if it didn't fit you could always return it and order the OEM plug.

They should be available at your local home supply store. Just check the specs for the usb output. They range from 900millu amps, slow slow to 2.1 or more. You could probably by the same type, with an RV sticker for twice the price.
