My Vega Touch 1.4.10 update results

After loading the update and rebooting 12v power the wifi screen for the first time since owning the VT on the 2019 Cornerstone, does populate by itself without waiting and hitting "refresh". The screen did flash a couple of times, but it did come up on it's own after loading. It did not sign on to my hotspot, but hit reconnected and it connected with no other inputs needed, Went back to the home screen, hit network, and within a couple of seconds the network screen populated all on it's own. After 3 years, it finally works as it should. That should take a lot of confusion out for first time users.

Got out of range of the MH to try the Nebula app, The first couple of loads took forever, then the third time it was normal again After arriving home, tried the Nebula app again, this time it "popped" on the screen. It does take a few time to load, but afterwards, it is nice. Just tried again, 5 seconds.

My gray and black tanks are empty so won't know about the tank sensors until first of Nov. when we have a trip planned.

If you are loading 1.4.10 do give the VG time to learn and load the new update. They do not work the first time trying them.

On a side note, the plastic steering wheel cover, as others have mentioned, did have to be trimmed on my 21 for the high beams to work. A sharp razor knife taking a little off at a time worked perfect.

Sounds like a good result for you. I just forwarded a photo of my Winegard settings screen to Firefly. Not sure why but perhaps they want to verify indoor and outdoor units working correctly.

Dan, it will sure be interesting to find out what Firefly finds with your unit. 1.4.10 was a big improvement for me over 1.4.8. It is the first time the wifi screen populated without waiting and hitting "refresh". .8 was faster but still had to hit refresh.

Good to know Chuck. But to be sure you're not hallucinating? Did you take your own advice and winterize with Vodka and have a few nips while you were at it?

Mid day, caffeine only. Just thought I would share as many are always wanting to know what the updates do or don't do, including me. Also found a few quirks that the updates do not work on the first try, the VT has to update with the updates, as does the Nebula app. As in the past, other users outcome may vary. This was one of the better updates on my coach.

Just started the .10 upload. I will see how mine works. With .8 the network screen does populate faster and my black tank reads levels. .10 will prolly screw all that back up

I think you’ll be happy with .10. As an aside, I was finally able to get my network screen to populate. Turns out I had changed the Winegard settings on the network settings page. Changed them back to admin/ admin with a lower case a and voila success. Now I need to figure out what I should do with all those networks.

I have to say Firefly was exceedingly patient with me over the past several weeks.

Dan, glad to hear that Firefly and .10 got you working. You might have been a big contributing factor for .10 to finally populate the wifi screen with out the waiting and hitting refresh.

As for all the networks, thankfully the Winegard does pick up a lot of them. I even pick up the runway lights from inside of the hanger and they are a ways away. If I am ever in an area with no cell service, I am confident there will be a usable wifi signal. I am adding Surfshark VPN on all of my devices $60. for 2 years. If I have to use a public wifi, I won't have to worry about it. Just another tool in the tool box. https://surfshark.com/

So far the network page loads almost instantly and nebula connects faster than .8. So far those are my only observations.

Upgraded last week to 1.4.10 2021 Anthem and just got back from 600 mile trip and everything including Nebula App worked fine.

I upgraded from 1.4.8 to 1.4.10 last week. Never saw 1.4.9. I haven't noticed any differences from 1.4.8 yet. 1.4.7 fixed our tank level issues and I did get the network list eventually after hitting refresh a few times. 2021 CS.
