Navigation System

Picked up our 2013 Anthem from the dealer in September. They upgraded the navigation sim card with the current upload and mailed it to me but when I put the card in the infotainment center and touched the navigation icon it would not load. Sent card back to dealer and they reloaded the card and I now have the card back and it does the same thing. They said they tried the card in a new coach and that it worked. ( Note: when I picked up the coach the navigation was not demonstrated to me so I don't know if it worked at all). The other functions are working. Has anybody else had this issue with their navigation system? I read in another thread that the ground wire from the wire bundle on the radio was not connected and after it was connected the radio and other functions worked.

On my card upgrade I had to pull the coach outside to get a good GPS signals. That didn't work so I rebooted the 12v system (salesman switch) and the GPS took right off. Worked fine all summer, except one screen lockup and the 12v reboot fixed that too..

If other functions are working on the radio unit, then it is probably not the ground. I had to replace my radio because the USB nor FM was not working, but the GPS was fine.

The early 2013's and earlier will not work with the current-style Rand McNally nav software. If your coach was manufactured before 3/13 its nav system may only work with the older style Excite Nav system. Call Entegra to find out.

My 2013 RBQ Aspire had the older navigation system. The card had to be updated by a subscription to a company in Eastern Europe. The 2 gb card was not large enough for the US data base, so Riverpark sent me a 4gb card. The GPS unit would not recognize the new data card... After many mailings and conversations I gave up...When I went in for my factory PDI Entegra and Riverpark agreed to exchange my old unit for the newer Rand McNally unit. It was $1,000 well spent! The free data base updates and features are worth the money.
