Need Help: 20 amp plug in
Could some of you very knowledgable and kind souls help me out. Specifically what parts do I need and what steps should I take to plug an Anthem into a 20 amp service.
Thank you.

Is your Anthem 30 or a 50 AMP RV?
You will need either a 30 AMP or 50 AMP dog bone.

The 50 to 15/20 amp will be harder to find. I suggest you buy two adaptors - a 50 to 30 and a 30 to 20. Anyplace that sells RV accessories, including Walmart, will likely have them. That way you'll be prepared for just about anything you may come across.
You'll find a lot of older parks, and especially public parks, will have 30 amp connectors so you'll have occasional use for the 50 to 30 adaptor.

I would do as Jay says, then you'll have both a 30 and a 20amp adapter. Noel

Just don't plug it into a welder or clothes dryer outlet at home. That's a certain method to let the smoke out of a bunch of stuff onboard the RV. They're wired totally differently than what your coach needs.

Thank you for the quick replies. The coach is 50 amps. Do I need to make any adjustments to the inverters before plugging into 20 amp?

I'm not sure what brand of RV you have but on my Entegra I set the control panel on the Magnum inverter panel for "Shore Power" set to 20 amp to limit how much the converter will pull.

WalMart has both adaptes that you need in the RV section of the auto part. Made by Camco, one of the larges RV parts suppliers and good quality. They are about 1/2 price at WM vs an RV dealers.

Entegra CS recommends you set the inverters to 5 amp when plugged into household service.

The storage unit tells me it's 20 amp service. Unfortunately, the local Wal-Mart had the opposite male to female connector than needed. I may order one online, until then, one more question.
Has anyone used a "battery tender"? A guy a few units down has a different manufacturer (small class A) and uses 4 of them for his smaller Class A batteries. Curious how that would compare to the 20 amp service? Anyone know? Will those work on the Anthem glass mat batteries? Any issues with that that anyone is aware of?

Sorry about your WM not have the correct plug. Is there another WM in the area?
The Anthem will not need a trickle charger. The inverter/charger charges all of the batteries. There has been severals discussion about that here and Entegra is installing the chargers that charge both sets if batteries.
