Need TV Mount for 55 inch for Aspire 2013

I have a 2013 Aspire and need a TV mount for a 50 inch TV to install above fireplace. Current hole mount bracket will not mate to new LG Vesa mount TV.

Has anyone screwed mount to the wall?

I'm not expert but there isnt a hell of a lot to those walls in a motorcoach.... outside fiberglass, fairly thin metal struts, insulation, inner thin "sheetrock" wall and that is about it. I dont think that they would have that massive TV mount bracket installed into the solid wood of the fireplace on a "B" if they could have simply installed it t o the wall of the coach. I'd give that a lot of thought.

You might be able to reposition the holes in the fireplace top to accommodate your new TV and install a bracket that lets you pull out the TV and tilt it left or right. There have been quite a few owners that have made that mod and they have added that tilt / swivel bracket to the already installed bracket.

It would help to know which floorplan you have. In our 44B the TV is on top of the fireplace and there is a stand like mount screwed to the counter top. When I changed out our TV we also found the mount screw holes misaligned. I purchased a $20 flat wall mount from Walmart and mounted it to the stand mount. The flat mount was adjustable to fit the TV screw holes. It works but isn't as secure as I'd like, it's not rigid. I think the real answer would be to drill new holes in the stand mount.

As Gary mentioned, there have been a few posts about this. There are "fireplace mounts" for TVs that allow the TV to come out, down, swivel, etc. The big draw is being able to use the cockpit chairs for the TV

One post: https://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/tv-mount-322819.html
(there are more)

As I recall, there's just a little bit of drilling into the existing hard mount on top of the fireplace to get it to work. (with the right mount)

I'd be leery of screwing anything into a wall...

Thanks for all of the help! I figured out how to use the existing mounting braket on the arm I had. I bought a aluminum bar and driller holes to allow 4 screw mounts to attach the new TV. LOOKS LIKE IT WILL WORK. WILL SEE HOW IT DOES ON MY FIRST TRIP
