New 2017 Entegra Anthem 44B
So we visited Buffalo over the weekend and looked at a couple of 2017's and made a deal to buy a 44B. We take delivery in June. Unbelievable the advances in technology since we bought our 2012 42RBQ. We have a couple of questions that never crossed our mind and maybe you owners of these new coaches can help:
1. These coaches use a macerator tank pump out system. Is the coach still equipped with a storage tube that will hold an old slinky type sewer Hose?
2. With these macerator systems in it still the case that we use dissolving chemical in our black Tanks?
3. I think the salesperson said the electrical is all breakers now and no fuses. Is that really the case? Absolutely no Fuses?
4. In reviewing the threads here I can see we need to look out for the awnings all being aligned, the travel'r functioning correctly, and the Vega Touch not crashing. Besides the good advice to check everything are there any other issues that you guys have noticed appear to be typical areas of Concern?
Thanks,
Bill

Bill, we have had our 2017 for 3 weeks now and love it. Nothing to compare to as this is our first MH but I can answer your questions.
1. There is storage for a stinky slinky which I would use if set up for more than a few days. The macerator works grew and is much easier and cleanse to use but you have to keep the tanks closed until ready to empty. You can hook up the stinky slinky below the macerator and use as in the past to allow the grey tank to remain open.
2. Entegra says with the new vents you do not have to us chemicals. I have not tried without hem yet so I'm not sure how well they work.
3. No fuses, all breakers.
4. The Vegatouch is really nice and easy to learn. I use it on my iPad as well. Mine has frozen up only once. I cut the 12 volt power for a few seconds, it rebooted and worked fine. I understand they are working on a software update to remedy this.
Good luck with your new coach!

Mike you can leave the gray tank valve open with the macerator system and the tank will drain. Sometimes it has an air lock when you move locations, but if you turn the pump on first time it will drain from then on. Noel

1. Yes, there is a "bypass" for the old type hose. Just look under the floor at the sewage area and you will see the pipes.
2. Use the same dissolving chemical in your black Tanks
3 Yes, all breaker now
4. If I end up buying a 2017 CS I'll tell you

I hope we can connect in Canada this year and compare our new babies.
Do you think you'll go back to the Spartan School? We think we probably will.

Thanks everybody. Emerson we might catch you guys when you are at Rocky Harbour I think Aug 3 or 4th. We have a family reunion in Pennsylvania end of July and then plan to head homeward so if all goes well we would be passing through around that time.Haven't thought about Spartan school.
