New Anthem 44B

After 4 1/2 months of waiting our Anthem arrived at Beaver Coach in Bend Oregon last Tuesday. DW and I got on the road Saturday morning and after 14 1/2 hours cutting through the vast desert of Nevada and a night in Winnemucca we arrived at Beaver Coach to find her in the bay being prepared for our PDI this Wednesday.

Absolutely gorgeous machine!!! We had kept our excitement in check for a long time but it came out in our drive through the desert. Drove us crazy lol...

So while we were admiring the Coach a service tech enters and tells us he has to take her down the street to the shop that handles all of the Spartan issues. While they had her out earlier for a test drive a check engine light had come on so off she went to the other shop. Good opportunity for me to hand them my full page of Spartan recalls and other issues I had read about from all of you.

Still don't know what the check light was about but should know tomorrow. After a year plus of reading the good bad and the ugly on this form I had made a list of questions and concerns for the PDI.

After our PDI, Beaver will install Air Force One for us and we will use the Blue Ox Aladdin tow system we have to tow our Jeep.

We plan to spend a couple of nights on the lot at Beaver Coach after we take ownership and work out any issues. We hope none... Lets hope the weather changes as it is going back into the low 30s and some high 20s this week at night.

Our sales rep Travis Tuma and the folks at Beaver have been great to deal with from the beginning when DW and I were hunting for our Anthem last year. Many of you have also taken the time to help us along the way with great guidance and we appreciate all of you and the help you have given. We look forward to meeting you all in the future. For now the wait continues.

Congratulations on the delivery of the new coach. The check engine lights seems to be very common with new deliveries. Way to many new computer sensors to go out or not talk to each other in the first few thousand miles. There are 16 sensors in the DEF system alone. Hopefully it will be a simple and non reoccurring fix.

Looking forward to the after the PDI report, you are working with a great "old service" dealer.

Congratulations! We absolutely love ours :-) Our check engine light still comes on half the time ... Spartan has walked me through checking the codes and it is always the same code, which means nothing ... other than they need to fix that code from coming on! I'll probably wait until we go to Charlotte for Owners training this July and get it fixed then.

Don't forget to post pictures!

Congrats on the new coach! On the plus side, that cold weather will give you a great opportunity to try out the new heating system!

Awesome news!!! I am so glad your dream has come true Jim and Natalie. You will just love your coach. As anything new there will always be that punch down list. But you will be blown away by the quietness and smith ride.
Seemed like your journey to pick her up was similar to ours .. Full of excitement .... Well it's only going to get better!
Anyway really looking forward to meeting you at Kerrville. Take care and enjoy!!!
Oh and don't forget the pictures!!

Glad you are getting close to driving off on your new Dream Coach.

I am sure you will be smiling all the way back to Las Vegas.

See you when you get back.

Congratulations Jim and Natalie! We're very excited, and jealous, of your new coach! Hahaha We hope you have a great trip back here to Vegas. We've contacted Travis and will be sure to keep in contact with him as we get closer to doing what you're doing right now. Remember, pictures are always a good thing! Again, congratulations and enjoy!

Congratulations on the new rig!! Wish you all the best on your PDI. When you get a chance, please share your list of questions and check items that you developed. I hate to recreate the wheel when stealing shamelessly is a viable option!! All the best to you and safe & happy travels!! And don't forget the pictures!!

Update on Walk through. As of 5pm our Anthem is still at Spartan/ Cummins shop. Beaver called to tell us they hope to hear from the Spartan folks in the morning. We have been scheduled for our walk through at 1 pm Wednesday so it doesn't look like that will happen. Good news Beaver told us all of the Spartan recalls are up to date on our Anthem.
Hopefully we will be able to send out pictures soon.
