After 4 1/2 months of waiting our Anthem arrived at Beaver Coach in Bend Oregon last Tuesday. DW and I got on the road Saturday morning and after 14 1/2 hours cutting through the vast desert of Nevada and a night in Winnemucca we arrived at Beaver Coach to find her in the bay being prepared for our PDI this Wednesday.
Absolutely gorgeous machine!!! We had kept our excitement in check for a long time but it came out in our drive through the desert. Drove us crazy lol...
So while we were admiring the Coach a service tech enters and tells us he has to take her down the street to the shop that handles all of the Spartan issues. While they had her out earlier for a test drive a check engine light had come on so off she went to the other shop. Good opportunity for me to hand them my full page of Spartan recalls and other issues I had read about from all of you.
Still don't know what the check light was about but should know tomorrow. After a year plus of reading the good bad and the ugly on this form I had made a list of questions and concerns for the PDI.
After our PDI, Beaver will install Air Force One for us and we will use the Blue Ox Aladdin tow system we have to tow our Jeep.
We plan to spend a couple of nights on the lot at Beaver Coach after we take ownership and work out any issues. We hope none... Lets hope the weather changes as it is going back into the low 30s and some high 20s this week at night.
Our sales rep Travis Tuma and the folks at Beaver have been great to deal with from the beginning when DW and I were hunting for our Anthem last year. Many of you have also taken the time to help us along the way with great guidance and we appreciate all of you and the help you have given. We look forward to meeting you all in the future. For now the wait continues.
