New beeping sound
Driving through Roanoke Virginia today when a never before heard beeping began...high pitched and muted in volume...i began checking the dash gauges and for any warning lights. All were normal. After 10 seconds or so the beeping stopped! This occurred 3 more times on the drive and never lasted long enough to narrow down location of the sound. I did notice we were climbing in elevation and frost was accumulated on the road side and rooftops. So my question now is whether my classic 2015 has a freeze alarm built in?

Smoke detector? CO detector? If you still have the original CO detector it's past due as they normally only last 5-6 years.

No...both of them were changed last year and the beeping definitely originated somewhere in the dash.

Our 17 definitely had a 'roads may be icy' warning chime from the xite radio. If I remember correctly it was marked by a snowflake in the top or bottom corner. If the temps were at or around freezing that was probably it.

On a different note, Dont forget to lower your pressure way down when going up in altitude. I also believe it's the icy road warning.

Thanks for the confirmation!.... we're from the West Coast and now living in Nevada so our cold weather travel has been limited...awoke to 20 degrees and light snow flurries,so I'll have an eye out for the snowflake on the nav!

What!!!! NO! Absolutely do not do this!!! Lowering air pressure does NOT improve traction.

The only pressure you should lower when increasing altitude is your air mattress!
Later...

Yep, I blew one of the mattress chambers once - added it to my departure list to check.
I have not heard a Ice warning on my Classic that I recall.

Yep!...she began the beeping again today. I was noticing the snow building up on the roadside and right on cue ,the beep started. I quickly swapped the Navi out of navigation mode and into Sirius radio mode...there I saw the blinking snowflake icon and "ice warning" written in red! Just a few seconds later it all cleared...I learn something new every day!

Good to know that Entegras come with "head South" warnings. Living in the south, I was not aware of that. But if it's part of the Xite system, mine is dead and doesn't do anything, end of problem.

You mentioned ice.
Could it be traction control alarm?
I had the same alarm when I was slipping on wet grass. It only lasted a moment.
best

We have a 2018 Anthem and I had a very loud obnoxious beep I could not figure out. It seemed to be activated by bumps in the road. I finally figured it out after stopping 3 times. It was the driver seat foot rest button or sensor was not fully pulled in. Just a thought!!
