New Entegra Class C

Just saw the new Esteem, Entegra's new class C. It's designed to be a more upscale class C. The front overhead cap breaks away from the traditional me-too front caps on a class C with a nice design that also includes a skylight with shade. I shot some photos for you.

Is this good or bad for those of us with Entegra Class A? For example, will it cause greater workload on already overtaxed customer service and service center that requires several months lead time?

Entegra becoming your typical RV manufacturer.

Wow .. disappointing. Never thought Entegra would change out of their market. What next, a travel trailer? Why not just leave the class C, 5th Wheel and TT to Jayco and Thor ... and Fleetwood, etc? Why do they want to be all things to all people??? This Class C doesn't look much different than all the others, so what gives, Entegra??????

Thanks for posting the pics, Cruzer ... just a little shocked

C'mon folks...the cups half empty, or a more positive outlook on life, looks at things as half full. Jayco/Entegra had separate Class C and Class A service and help desk functions. They tried consolidating the help desk functions (and people) under one supervisor, but it didn't last, and now they are separate.

Maybe Jayco is just, long term, consolidating Class C functionalities (with the Seneca, that to me seemed an outlier to Jayco's core trailer/5th wheel business). Maybe the small gasser Class A Jayco's will do the same (might even look more like Newmar that has eight or nine different Class As produced on one production line...successfully.

Not everything at Entegra has a negative twist. If I owned a business with multiple product lines, I would look for efficiencies and consolidations, as well as new products that capitalize on current reputations. That's the business of business. seems to me to be a pretty sharp looking Class C...and...as Millenials start moving into the RV market, perhaps at younger ages than we have, will all of them be able to buy into a RV Class A market that prices are increasing 20% per year. Was it wrong to come outwit the Insignia??? JMHO

Actually, I see this as a rehash of the Envoy line that Tadd began to launch. The Envoy was a unique brand of high end class C that Entegra launched at the September Open House just prior to when all the personnel changes took place. They built a few of them and then the project was cancelled when Tadd and others went away. I guess now that it's someone else's idea it's being relaunched.

However, it's not a separate brand. it is an Entegra. But it won't be built in Entegra's diesel plant. It will be built in the existing Jayco plant where the Seneca and others are built. It also will not be serviced at the Entegra service center. It will be serviced at the Jayco service center.

so the upshot of this is that it won't affect any of us Entegra owners. It's basically a high end Jayco class C with an Entegra label. The coach won't be sold by the large mass of Jayco dealers though and will be available through selected Entegra dealers.

Won't have interest in a class B, B+, or C but I tend to agree with building the brand. Gas class A's are probably coming. Just makes sense. A lot of the Euro models out there are sure telling me upscale luxury in smaller packages is the trend. Have to also think they will have an Uber coach so all yours guys with a CS have a way to move without leaving the brand.
JMHO

Does the OP have any additional information on this interesting addition to the world of Class C RVs? I can't find any other information on the Internet.

Hi Ted - Whose construction technique are they using? In other words is it just a fancy Jayco/Thor or is it an Entegra with hung walls etc.? If the former, I'd fear that it will dilute the brand. If the latter, then an extension to a very good line up.

I am just guessing but my guess is it is an attempt to give Entegra Coach dealers who don't have Jayco dealerships (yes there are different dealer agreements) another model to boost sales and attract more diverse markets. Very interested if they pick and choose selected Entegra dealers or if it will be available to all of them. All JMHO

The Esteem won't have hung sidewalls. That's a whole different method of construction and it just doesn't fit with a small coach like a class C. It's upscale with amenities but class C coaches just don't lend themselves to hung sidewalls, X-bridging, thick R33 floors, etc. Nothing radical in the construction other than the fact they are using the better quality materials and furnishings than in the entry level Jayco class Cs.

The new C was at Hershey, but I must admit that it was more of a :"Look, they have a Class C" than really going in and checking it out. Perhaps someone else who was at Hershey can give more info.
