You should probably start with my post for the Reatta, as we have the same engine. However, it's my understanding that all the filters, belts, and so on are actually installed by the chassis manufacturer, rather than Cummins, and my chassis is a Spartan rather than Freightliner. (I didn't even know that Entegra ever made a FL-based DP!) On top of that, 8 years is a long time. Just because the displacement is the same, that doesn't mean that Cummins didn't make some other changes.

So while my information may be helpful -- and I hope that it is! -- you should definitely double-check it.

You may also want to ask in another section of the forums. While both Freightliner and the Cummins ISB/B6.7 are something of a rarity in Entegra-land, they are commonplace everywhere else.

Hi Curley,

I think that many would suggest that, at the least, you carry primary and secondary fuel filters and a serpentine belt. Although it's not a frequent occurrence, clogged fuel filters can stop you where you are. They're not very difficult to change yourself and, depending on where you are, you may NOT be able to acquire them locally. The serpentine belt will also bring you to a dead stop and might not be easily obtainable locally.

Kinda sucks to be stuck someplace for a day, or weekend, waiting for a fuel filter or serpentine belt.

A strategy that some have adopted is to acquire a full set of filters and belts. When it comes time to replace any of those for regular service, use the one that you have for that service and then replenish your kit.

I think, though, that I'd only buy an air cleaner shortly before I needed to replace the existing one.

Take care,
Stu

Water filters

Here are the water filters:
House: #8 WCBCS975-RV (or any Standard 10" housing 5 micron filter)
Fridge: #3 FP10GKT

Caveat - I have a 2016 Anthem, so I am not sure if they are the same...

My filter is 2.5 inches by 10 inches. There's nothing special about it; it's the same thing you might put in your S&B under your kitchen sink or in your basement. Just measure yours and order the appropriate size from Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.

You don't have to drain the system to take out your filter. Just flip the bypass valve (it may have already been flipped during winterizing) and unscrew the housing using the provided tool. Installation is the reverse of removal.
