New owner will need help
Hello everyone, I just bought a new 2017 Aspire. When I went to pick it up, (600 miles from home)the two guys that was supposed to do the walk around were gone on training so I had a quick tour by a mechanic for about 30 minutes. I'm an experience RV'er but the Aspire is a new ball game for me compare to my 2011 Tuscany. Some of the threads already have answers some questions but I will need help mainly regarding the EC-30, ME-RC and Aquahot. So I will post Questions or concerns, I'm sorry if some are stupid but I need to understand how that beautifull beast work.
First question, When I'm ready to leave a campground, when do I put the inverter on, before or after I remove the shore power, before or after I start the engine?
second question, I remember the mechanic said no engine when I use the Jacks, true or false?
I guess what I'm looking for is what to do when I get to a campground, when I leave and on the road, only regarding the electrical part.
Thanks for your help, many questions to follow...

Inverter on all the time except for in storage.
On arrival at site plug into shorepower, engine off , slides out , then turn on jack system , deploy jacks which dumps air bags ( make sure FIRST tires are straight in front wheel wells ) and coach will level.
Upon departure start engine, place in high idle, build air pressure by checking gauges , leave engine running , turn on jack power and push retract, jacks will retract and coach airs up. When fully aired up I shut down engine ( courtesy to my neighbors ) still plugged into shore power I then retract slides. I finish up my outside work disconnecting utilities.

I think you might also have another discussion with the dealership...I think they receive an incentive to provide that delivery training to new owners; not sure, but ask. I don't think that is something that Entegra would want to hear either. JMHO

Attached is a quick start guide
Hope this starts to answer some of your questions. It is a shame that you got short changed at the delivering dealer. We picked up our Anthem in July. First Motorhome with zero experience and NIRVC spent a good day and a half on delivery. Invaluable to us and one of the reasons we went with them in the first place. They went point by point through Entegra's delivery sheet and some items more than once.

Luckily you can find youtube videos of many things like EC-30 operation, Aqua-Hot, etc.
I also found at least one walk-through

Dont be bashful..... if you have questions.... ask away. That is what this forum is for, so dont be afraid to ask.
I will also say that the dealer owes you an extended prep..... until you say you have heard enough. They get paid by Entegra (I am told) to do the prep and your situation is not acceptable to me. I spent 3 days at my dealer..... One full day was going over systems and operation. I determined when we were done. Then the other days were involved with fixing things that did not work or problems that were actually created by the dealer's people.

Entegra says that you move the slides when the you have the jacks up. They are concerned about the jacks torquing the frame and the torque complicates the extension and retraction process. That is different from what many manufacturers recommend, and I have to constantly remind myself to move the slides when I am at "ride height".
The coach drops significantly off its bags and down to the frame in the leveling process. My coach probably drops 3 to 5 inches in the process, so the other poster here that told you to ALWAYS make sure that your front steer tires are straight ahead is telling you something important. That is very important! Straight ahead. If you have the wheels turned, you will jam the front tires against the wheel well.

Congrats on your new coach! Sorry your experience with the dealership was what it was. But, feel free to ask questions - we all love to help! What dealership did you buy it from?

Congratulations for buying a great coach from a great manufacturer. I'm sorry for your poor dealer experience. I agree with Gary that your dealer experience was not up to Entegra expectations.
My dealer spent an entire day going over all the features of the coach. We spent the first night in their parking lot and they continued answering questions and fixing things we found the day before. Then the dealer paid for us to stay at a state park close to their location for 3 more nights so we could check out the functionality of all systems. We listed a few other things that needed attention before we left Atlanta for home in San Antonio. Our dealer experience was exceptional! We were treated like we just spent a fortune.
Please use this forum as much as you need to answer any questions that come up.

Mbaril,
I am reminded of a whole series of You Tube videos that cover every system on the coach.
Open You Tube and search for "Entegra Coach delivery checklist"
Enjoy!

Almost exactly our experience. No dealer should use the excuse that their delivery people were off on training - their customer is the one that should have priority for training!
And we ARE spending fortunes!
