New Owners - Check Your Central Vacuum

We've had our coach since March, used the central vac several times, seemed to work fine. Yesterday on a whim I popped off the cover to check the bag.

Well the bag was there alright - but in a sealed plastic three pack! Also there was another sealed plastic bag with the manual and some install hardware.

Needless to say all the crud we had previously sucked up was all over everything and came spilling out when I opened the door. Luckily there are backup filter pads for the motor so I don't think any damage was done. Kinda messy, I had to use a portable vac to clean out the central vac.

So much for dealer prep. You may want to check yours.

Good tip, thanks, I wouldn't have thought to check that, but it makes sense.

When I picked up mine the bags and the instructions were laying in the floor of the basement. No bag was installed at all. That was one thing they did go over for me.
