New rattle

For every rattle that I found in my 2017 anthem DLQ I have found an answer in this forum. The latest rattle sounds like it’s coming from the area of the dashboard approximately in the middle where it meets the windshield. I can be going 1 mile an hour or 70 and it sounds the same. It sounds like marbles in a coffee can rolling around however very muffled . Any ideas?

Look to the shades. On the outboard sides are small buttons to set the limits. These were poorly attached and rattled against the bracket.

A few months ago there was a thread on here where Entegra was adding shims and additional screws due to dash squeaks/rattles. May be your problem.

I had a similar rattle and found it to be the shades. I got a larger screw and coated them with "Lock Tight" and put a rubber washer on the screw as well.

The screws now are tighter, and the no more metal screws rattling against the shade brackets.

OK I will check the shades it’s possible that the sound can be transmitting down the windshield to where it sounds as if it’s coming from the dashboard? That’ll be my next project tomorrow thanks for your ideas

Here is the photo post J.H. was referring to. A few other are in the Google search bar at the top of the page. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/dash...ml#post3598091

It took 2 years to find my wood rattle, so many things were done while taking something apart to find it, still don't know what fixed it. Mine was behind the drivers head and drove us nuts. Third day taking it apart on the PDI before it stopped. Nobody knows what they did, but thankfully it is gone.
