No problem Chuck glad to help.
Thanks for reporting from the Perry Rally and the positive news from Entegra.
Sounds like it's been good show all around.

For those of you (like me) unlucky enough to have already had the recall done, here is the step by step on how to change the mid-ship marker light to a turn signal (no marker).
Photos below:
1. Before and after
2. LED light after silver bezel and Amber lens popped off. The amber lens pops off from the end with a small indentation. Take two screws out. Reach under the wheel well and disconnect the plug. Pull the assembly carefully through the hole.
3. 3 wire connector in the wheel well. Using a test light, determine which wire is the ground and which is the marker light. Center plug is the turn signal.
4. Removal tool inserted into the wire harness. Tool bends down 2 ears which hole the wire/pin in place. Then gently pull the wire until it comes out. You may need to use needle nose pliers to remove the pin. Using the crimpers (see photo below) attach new pin and green plug to wire, then insert into middle hole. Put plug from middle hole into the side hole.
5. Attach outer plastic sleeve around the two wires. Then put everything back together. Don’t forget to test the lights before hand.
6. Tool kit used. Comes with crimpers, removal tool, pins and some connectors.
Hope this helps someone. Let me know if you have questions. If I can’t answer Chuck or Genie can[emoji1]

I just found out that NIRVC did my recall this week, even though I had specifically asked that it not be done. I guess I have to go and redo it myself. Frustrated.

JMO, after seeing the 2019 and the recall lights installed, it is a step back to the stock Classics with a 2 LED light fixtures. If we move up to a 19 there will be some changing to the stock lights and there will be side turn signals.

Here are the Jayco Part numbers for the OEM marker Side Marker Lights for my 2016 Anthem. Entegra purchases them from Kaperii. While I have not contacted this company yet I was thinking of purchasing the OEM lights then adding reflectors. If someone contacts Kaperii before I do, please post results.

Does anyone have pictures of the reflectors that Entegra is using? Thanks in advance.

According to the email I got from Joyce, they are now offering a reflector tape kit instead of the lights that do not blink. I have seen those lights in person. I was hoping someone at the factory has had this done and could provide pictures as to what Entegra is offering instead of the new lights.

I was not given the choice 4 weeks ago at Middlebury but if I had been I would have just added reflectors.

Sorry I upset everyone, but I was told by Entegra that the reflectors I bought, even though they are clearly marked DOT-A, would not clear my VIN # for the recall. It has to be this "reflector tape kit" Entegra is using to clear my VIN #. All I asked for is a picture off this "reflector tape kit" if anyone has had this done. I do plan on keeping my original lights. Sorry for all the confusion.

I left Middlebury a week ago where they absolutely refused to do anything but replace my lights, much to my dismay. Then I drove to Washington DC pulling my pickup. Whoever thought the reflectors are more important than turn signals should have his head examined! Merging lanes in traffic is nearly impossible! In big city’s everybody is bumper to bumper, therefore you have people next to you with no clue that you need to change lanes.
Not to mention the front turn signals suck! You can’t see them unless you’re in front of the rig! People driving towards the front from a 90 degree angle have no idea that you are trying to turn, therefore they don’t leave you the room often required to make the turn, especially when pulling something.
I haven’t looked at the law, but I’m guessing there is something about side signals in the front as EVERY vehicle I’ve seen in the last 30 years has some form of signal light that can be seen from an angle at the front. Most have their turn signals mounted right at the corner so one light is still visible from a wide radius. Not mounted down low facing forward a foot or more from the side.
Looks like I’m on my own to get signal lights added before I head to Vegas for the 4 lane drag races. :-)
