New shade motor
I guess I joined the family of failed shade motors, but luckily my coach only has 4 to worry about.
I was surprised when I contacted customer support the cost of these little motors. Mine is the red one and they are suggesting a white replacement for a cost of $268. Has anyone found them for less? My Red motor lasted about 4 years, are they still available or are the white motors that much better?

Sorry, I am out, but do a search on here and you should find a link to the white motors
It had a Newmar part reference but is the same
Slightly challenging to get the thing working and programmed but doable

Thanks Chuck. Mastertech is who I used.
If OP can get one less expensive, all the better.

I ended up finding them in stock from Master Tech RV. $155 which was a lot better than the mother ship.

Dave; FYI, I had to do some disassembly of my trim to gain access to the mounting hardware for the passenger shade. Had to remove the door shade as well.
Once out, you have to modify the bracket a bit to “seat” the new motor since the ends are different. Not hard to do.
Programming might be easy for some, but it took a while for me to get ours right.

I appreciate the heads up!
I've already told my wife that this weekend is going to be dedicated to coach maintenance. It's time for the oil change, hubs checked, grease the chassis, bendix filter, and a lot of crawling around. I think I'll do the shade motor while my hands are clean and my mind fresh. Once the dirty work is done, I'll start waxing

Back in March I bought two from integrityrvparts.com for $145 each. Unfortunately like everything else their price has increased substantially since then.
This is a white colored motor ironically called the "Black Pearl Edition" MCD RV Windshield Shade Motor 12V 50.338
FWIW the Newmar part number is 019115
https://photos.app.goo.gl/5XAaue9jtbXVZnhE8
FYI on my coach the original motor wires came straight out the end of the motor, but the new motors arrived with the wires exiting at a 90 degree angle which was not ideal. This can be fixed easily (before installation) by removing the two screws on the end cap and rerouting the wires straight out thru the hole in the end cap.

The white ones are better, but like many parts in this market, it's a hunt and a half to try to find better prices. Just learned that shopping for batteries.
