New Video from NIRVC Founder Brett Davis

Some of you will recall that back in April of last year (2020) Brett Davis, the founder & CEO of National Indoor RV Centers, released a video titled "RVs, the Economy & You." In that video, Brett shared his thoughts regarding the probable impact of the COVID-related disruptions to the economy at large and the RV industry in particular.

I just learned Brett has recorded an update, which was posted today, 6/30/2021. The video is available here:

and the transcript is posted here:

Thanks, Larry, for posting this.

Who wants to start the bidding for my '18 Anthem?

Before you ask, yes, it has the original DEF head.

Maybe now is the time to put an end to my K3 envy.

Take care,
Stu

Gary, some years ago I was the I.T. Director for a large company that designed and manufactured engines for private jets. One day a research specialist from IBM called to ask if he could have a half hour or so of my time. I agreed and we had an interesting conversation, covering a variety of I.T. related topics and issues.

At one point in the discussion he asked me how much disk storage capacity (or some such) we expected to need over the next X years. My first answer was, "Off the top of my head, I have no idea." His response was classic:

"Larry, in my line of work we have a saying, which is that some number is always better than no number."

Stu, some good friends who live in the DFW area just traded their 2018 Cornerstone 45Y for a 2020 Newmar New Aire at NIRVC in Lewisville. My guess is that NIRVC will take a few days to clean & prep the Cornerstone, but I'm sure they'll be happy to talk with you about a swap.

Larry, you're so helpful.

Thanks. I'm in the early stages of route planning my return to VA from MT with a visit on the Oregon coast. NIRVC Lewisville isn't THAT far out of the way home. Right?

Take care,
Stu

Hi Larry - As you know I'm trying to find a deal on a new Anthem. Sure wish some of the sales people would take to heart Brett's view. Seems they want to price trades at 2019 values but put them on the lot at inflated values to newbies. Funny part is they seem to think that the recent and impending new coach price increases are aimed at them. As we say in the south, "well bless their hearts".

Brett's views seem to be pretty accurate and certainly differs from the common perspective.

23:37

At 23:37, Brett makes this statement:

"Moving on, there isnít a day go by where Iím not being asked in an email, text, phone call, or at one of our Rallies for my thoughts on our economy, or our national debt, or concerns over inflation because of the significant price increases weíre seeing across all commodities, services, and some products. With two new buildings about to come out of the ground, believe me, we are keenly aware of the increases in the costs of construction here at National Indoor RV Centers."

Any guess where the two new buildings will be springing forth?

Take care,
Stu

Hi Stu - I believe that one is the new building for Nashville. Current building is a temporary facility. Not sure of the other.

Yes, they definitely aren't replacing that facility.

NIRVC has a few goals for the future, including Florida and the upper Midwest. Don't know if they are to the building stage on that yet.
