NHTSA Michelin and Toyo recall

Not sure you all know about this. Looks like some new tires are in order

There is also a recall on Toyo

FYI

NHTSA Recall ID Number : 22T023
Synopsis : Michelin North America, Inc. (Michelin) is recalling certain X, XWX, Pilote X, XVS, TRX, MXV, XAS, TB 15, XDX, ZX, VHC, TB 5, XM+, and PB 20 specialty tires, sold for use on certain vintage and antique vehicles. Please see the attached products listing for a complete list of all affected tires and sizes. The DOT certification symbol is missing from the tire sidewalls. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 109, "New Pneumatic and Certain Specialty Tires," and 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles." Tires that are missing a DOT symbol may be used in inappropriate applications, increasing the risk of a crash. Michelin will replace the tires, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact Michelin's customer service at 1-866-324-2835.

Toyota recalled one tire one size. And it's an SUV sized tire. Been watching Michelin coach tires blow out since I've been on this forum.

Yokohama Tire Corporation (Yokohama Tire) is recalling certain TY517 MC2 tires, size 295/75R22.5 16H, and BluEarth 109L tires, size 295/75R22.5 14G, with DOT date code 2222. The tires may have been produced with an incorrectly manufactured rubber compound, which can cause the rubber adhesion to fail and result in tread separation. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 119, "New Pneumatic Tires- Other than Passenger Cars." Tread separation can result in tire failure and a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect and replace the affected tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 30, 2023. Owners may contact Yokohama's customer service at 1-800-423-4544.

What Toyos are recalled? The only recall on the website isn’t an rv tire and is over 3 years old. Thanks, I have Toyos on 5 different vehicles.

I don't see XLINE or XLINE Energy tires listed so think that most of our coaches are not involved.

None of the affected tires are RV-sized. They all appear to be passenger car (13, 14, and 15's).

Note that the defect is a missing DOT symbol.
