Received a really nice video today from Brett Davis, CEO of NIRVC. It was both calming and very informative! Sorta like an Andrew Como for RVrs. Once again, I think to myself, I will only buy another RV from NIRVC!

A great, informative video. I'm hoping Rick isn't referring to NY state Gov Andrew Cuomo. Being from NY, there is nothing calming about him.

Yes, through this crisis, NIRVC has been steadfast in their commitment to the needs of their customers.

We personally know of two couples and their motorhomes who have been sheltered by NIRVC.

i hope that Brett is right. He's a smart man and a good person. His prediction of the future is almost the exact opposite prediction i would have made, but his business is based on data, and he is a data consumer, so I'm willing to buy into his model of the future.

Not a lot of other CEOs that would take the time and intellect to put that out. Good going Brett!

I took every dime I had out of the stock market and went fully cash and fixed rate of return investments after the 2008 crash....

Been there.... done that craziness.... never again.

Very informative video - thanks for sharing. Agree with the PPP information, we were fortunate to apply and get ours in the same manner.

I have gone into my office each day (with the DW) to maintain things while most employees work from home. We are able to come in and ship orders that are for essential businesses. April is going to finish better than I planned, and May looks a little better.

A very nice guy and a very good Company. But there is another side to this story. Rv Motorhome sales increased from 2007 to 2017. With the market going into a decline in 2018 and 2019. Trailer sales increased from 2017 to 2018 with 2019 going into a decline. This with the greatest economy in history. I did not dream these numbers, they are available on line. The current make up of 62% of the market is baby boomers . Like the Harley Davidson revolution, Motorhomes will most likely go the same way. I believe the Millennials camping will grow, but it is clear their interest difference from most of ours. I look at my own family and see a son who would rather have a second house in Colorado and own a smaller RV. Cheap money is available for the big Companies with Pristine balance sheets. Joe average needs a 700 credit score to be considered for a mortgage as in the news this week. And the current rate for loans is 4 to 5% which is what it was before this mess started. News housing Developers have been notified of curtailments in lending. The automotive industry will offer 0 interest loans and 7 or 8 year loans. They will need to because after being out of work the average person will not have the funds to make a purchase. I have no illusion about the stock market. Yes there are great stories, but again they are for campfire talk. My grandmother use to say figures lie because liars figure. I have come to realize she had a lot of wisdom. I do see a whole generation of kids out there who are going to need a lot of help. I believe our Country will rise to the occasion and we will pull together and be a better nation in the future. I think my perception is optimistic but guarded.

I, for one, do not share Mr. Davis’ optimism. An RV is a luxury in any definition one can use and luxuries are the first thing to go away. As we transition into retirement we have to make the transition from “I want” to “I need” and that is a difficult transition to make. Families are going to have to make those same choices and I don’t see that as being a good thing for RV ownership.

My guess is that the pinnacle of RV ownership is behind us, not in front of us. Our generation wanted the freedom that RV’s offer and I don’t see that as being a priority of the millennials. A generation that believes that student loans should not have to repaid is not going to be an ideal market for expensive motor homes or any other form of RV’s.
