Do you mean they show short between center conductor and braid? If not, the cables are ok.

I don’t know your coach so I don’t know where the splitter is. The first thing I check if not cable is to make sure my TV antenna booster is off. Next I autoprogram the TV after making sure the TV source is set to TV.

A cable toner can help with troubleshooting in these coaches. At least it can help you find out how cables are routed and where they terminate.

I, too, am not familiar with your coach's TV equipment. However, yours may be similar to mine.

My coach has a RAYZAR Automatic HDTV Antenna installed. The control panel for that antenna is in a compartment over the entry door and looks like this:

If you remove that to expose the back side of the controller, it looks like this:

I believe that's the splitter for the TV coax cables.

It's always seemed, to me, to be a bit counterintuitive. With that control panel powered "On", the signal from the roof mounted antenna is routed to the TV's. However, when the control panel is powered "On", the signal from the campground cable TV is blocked. In order to use the campground cable TV signal, you need to turn the control panel "Off".

At least, that's how mine works.

Here's a link to the User Guide that may provide helpful info.

Take care,
Stu

cable

if any of the cables are hooked to a tv they will show a short.
The same will happen if a DVD player is hooked to one.

On my Entegra the inputs in the water bay were switched. Try connecting to the "SAT" connection.

Here is what you need to do.

I once had an RF distribution issue with the TVs in my coach. I took a look at the online documentation in the Owners Center on the Entegra web site and found pictures and location of the power splitter the cables connect to, in my case, inside one of by bays on the roof. I later asked for and was immediately sent a wiring diagram from Entegra Service for my specific coach that identified, among other things, how the entire video system, including muy satellite antenna, are wired together. Try looking at the Owners Center and send a message to service asking for a wiring diagram and they should answer your questions.

You will need to disconnect each cable at both ends to determine if there is a short. It is entire possible that, on at least one cable, a piece if strand (shield ground) was bent and is making contact with the center copper wire of the coax cable when the cable was stripped prior to crimping on the connector. If one cable connected to the power splitter is shorted it can cause all three to show a short on the other end.

If you have a shorted connector on one of the cables, just cut the end off, strip the insulation back about 3/8 inch with a sharp knife, fold the strand down (don't remove it), apply the connector so the end of the copper center conductor is even with or just beyond the top of the connector, and crimp.
