No Power any longer on 7 pin connector at coach

We have a 2018 Anthem 44B

A few months ago we had lost one turn signal when our toad electrical was plugged into the coach.

Now we have lost all turn signals. We had a mobile RV person look at our blue ox electric wire, our toad plug and the coach 7 pin plug. The RV mobile tech said we had no power at the Coach 7 pin plug. He said we would have to come in for a new wire to be run from dash because he couldn’t follow wiring under coach.

Is there any other ideas to fix this problem or do we need a new wire run? Was the 7 pin coach plug factory installed or from dealer when we purchased the coach new?

Thanks,
Daphne and Steve

Couple questions: I assume he checked fuses, Do the brake lights work on the toad, You state both turn signals are now out, that would indicate 2 wires, Do the running lights work, Is the ground good, I mean REAL GOOD. Does the toad have separate turn lamps vs. brake lights.
Are the turn signals working on the coach.

Could you call Entegra or the dealer and question whether the connector was oem or a dealer option? If it is OEM, Entegra might provide a wiring diagram and a wire routing diagram to help understand where the wires are connected. If it was installed by the/a dealer, they may be able to provide information regarding the connection and routing.

This tech may be the only option to you at this time, but they seem less customer service oriented and more profit driven. Leaving impressions of this tech aside, without locating the damage and understanding the cause, what is the next wire to be damaged and what system fails or is damaged?

If the Entegra warranty is still available, is it an option to consider.

All turn signals and lights work on our toad when it is NOT plugged into the coach 7 pin plug.

All turn signals and lights work on the coach too.

The problem is the toad turn signals and lights do not work when we are TOWING it.

Mobile Tech says no power at 7pin coach plug. Blue Ox cable is good. Toad plug has power too.

Thanks for the help!

Were fuses checked. I believe there are separate towing fuses. What do you mean by the Toad plug has power ? Its starting to sound like a bad ground or blown fuses.

Your last sentence has me confused. “The toad plug has power too”. Why would you want your toad powering anything back to the coach? Sounds to me like something is wired wrong. If that’s the case your probably blew the fuse in your chassis fuse connection box by the fuel filters and def tank.

Also on my 18 Aspire, the 7 pin on the coach was factory installed.

Check the fuse in the round fuse box. Last bay door passenger side where the DEF tank is.

o

X2 on the circular black cover where the DEF tank is; just unscrew the black circular box and you should see the fuses labeled trailer right/left turn signal fuses there. When I changed the fuse the turning signal worked.

No Power any longer on 7 pin connector at coach

All of Spartan chassis that Entegra uses have the 7 way RV connection pre wired by Spartan.
It they don't have running lights or left and right brake / turn signal it would seem odd that three fuses would blow at the time as these are separate circuits.
Maybe the tech didn't have a good ground when is was checking. The charge line in the 7 way plug is hot all the time wonder if saying it's dead also.
I would be checking for a ground issue.

Richard

Along with what others have said, after checking the fuses....if this is the second time you have blown a fuse to the 7 pin plug, there might be a shorted wire in the towing cord causing fuses to blow, or as Richard mentioned a bad ground. Also if they used diodes on the tail lights of the toad, one could be mis-wired, or bad, causing feedback to the MH fuses.

If the tech is saying the plug needs to be rewired, I would look for a second opinion.

I had that same problem and it turned out to be the mud flap had come up and hit the back of the connector disconnecting it. My advice is look at back side of 7 pin connector and see if it's pushed up. The back of that connector just plugs in, it's not a hard wire connection.
