No power in coach.....

Went to check on coach systems this morning (currently on shorepower on driveway), and found no power in the coach.

Oddly when initially found, Fridge / Microwave was running. After going through complete reset process, both are now off....

Here are the symptoms.....

VegaTouch down, 12V / 110 V power out.
ME-ARTR shows "dead battery charge" error
Inverters both off / won't turn on.
BMK is flashing red.
Generator won't turn on.
AC power surge protector shows power going to coach.
Coach surge protector shows normal.
House batteries fully charged and are charging (though nominal 2 to 3AMPS).
chassis batteries charged (coach will start)...

Went through hard reset on inverters, i.e., removed AC power, pushed reset on inverters for 15 seconds...as well as shut down all power switches on bay power panel... no change..

Scanning through manuals and online to figure out next steps.........

Start with checking the house battery power switch sometimes called the salesman switch. Power turned off or a major fuse failed somewhere.

Are you sure your house batteries are fully charged? Can you put a voltmeter on them? Magnum’s “dead battery charge” fault means the Magnum remote is seeing a voltage of 9v or less. Try measuring the battery voltage at the inverter 12v leads.

I'll double check the batteries with a voltmeter, though the Battery app shows both batteries are at 97%.

Then the power is not getting through to the rest of the coach. You have lithium don’t you? Perhaps the internal BMS’s shut the batteries down.

Found the issue.......

with the melting.... I assume the connections are not solid enough to power the inverters.... now the question is why did this happen..... configuration has been good for over a year.....

When I opened the panel, Inverter 2 kicked on...and as you can see, the BMK is now sensing power from the batteries...though inverter 1 is still down...likely it's connection on the busbar isn't good enough to power the inverter... have everthing shut down on the coach until I figure this out...

Ouch!! Good find. That busbar is definitely overheated. Lucky it wasn’t worse. What is the amp rating of that busbar?

Rated for 400AMPS... here's the link to them:

Rating is high enough. One or more terminals came loose causing the overheating. I am surprised there is no lock washer.

I'll definitely put some on the replacement including redoing the negative busbar.....

Won't know if anyting else is toasted until I replace it....

If it were mine I would get rid of the supplied nut/washer combo and replace with a flat washer then a lock washer then a nut.
