No shore power, no fridge or microwave

After a short ride yesterday, I noticed that the refrigerator was not working nor was the microwave when we pulled into camp. When I plugged into shore power they both worked. To troubleshoot today, with the engine running I turned off the shore power and again the refer and the mw were dead, although the coach lights and bedroom fan worked. Next, I turned on the generator and both the refer and mw came on. All the inverter switches are on. I did turn the inverter switches on and off but to no avail.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance,
Larry

What's the voltage of the house batteries. Below 10.5 and the inverter shuts down.

Hello , sorry for your issues. Look at your inverter from both sides. There should be fuses hopefully on one side. Sounds like one might be blown.

Check the circuit breaker on the inverters in the basement that they are pushed in.

Sounds like you have no inverted power.
With generator off and shore power unplugged do you have 110V AC power from any outlets?

First make sure the inverter is turned on via the Vegatouch. On the home page of the vegatouch near the middle make sure inverter is selected (on).

If you long press (hold down) on the inverter button from the vega touch it will bring up an inverter setting screen. Look to see if you have 120 VAC out. I think if the little circuit breakers on the side of the inverters are off you will not see 120V out. You can also see the battery voltage in. Should be 12 to 13 VDC.

The circuit breakers in the basement on the inverters are where I would check.

If your breakers are all ok.
Also, a breaker might be flipped without it being completely flipped. So I suggest switching them off and back on anyway
Then do this next

This might work
1. Unplug
2. Turn off the house and chassis batteries
3. Turn off the inverter
4. Wait 30 minutes
5. Turn on the inverter
6. Turn on the house and chassis batteries
7. Plug in.
See what happens.
This may clear it all up.
Simple and easy

Problem solved

Hal nailed it. The Vega Touch Inverter switch was turned off. Why didn't I think of that? Thanks everyone!

You got that right Gary.

I learned about the little breakers on the inverters on my 17 from Chuck. After having to crawl in the basement and reset that breaker we became a little more reasonable about how many big amp draw things we use at the same time. Coffee pot, space heater, toaster oven, blow dryer, microwave, etc… = Trip to the basement in the cold….

Exactly how we exist. Careful attention to loads has managed to prevent me from having to crawl into the basement (I'm getting a little less flexible with my titanium knees), and trips to the basement to reset circuit breakers in freezing conditions, more objectionable than would have been the case 20 years ago.

I've found that careful consideration of what power I'm asking the "system" to deliver is a lot less work and "pain"

Hi All

I know these instructions are for a newer Cornerstone, but can they be used by us "classic" owners?

Be safe

Dr. Mike, I saw your question went unanswered. Unfortunately, No, the instructions for the classic Entegra inverter reset is different from these instructions. The inverter controls for my 2015 Anthem (Classic) were above the entry door. There ate readouts for the inverters and fault indicators lights that will turn red if your inverter isn’t working properly or will go out if they are turned off, and green when operating properly. You can cycle the button next to where it says inverter or charger accordingly to which of them you want to reset or turn on/off. Sorry I don’t have pictures because we now have the Vega Touch in our 21 Anthem.
Best wishes.

I had the same problem. Found that the wire nut connectors in the gen compartment were too small and would not carry the load. Note that these being too small caused them to get very hot (possible fire!!!). Changed the wire nuts too a larger more heavy duty style and no problem since.
