North Cascades National Park
this park is Northeast of Seattle, right up against the Canadian border, east of Bellingham about 60 miles (not a straight line). I am wondering if anyone has taken their Entegra there and has a suggestion as to where to stay, perhaps some dry campgrounds inside the park that will hold a 45 footer?
Thanks for your advice.

Thanks, have been through that and now looking for some actual experience. Its a relatively remote national park, so fewer campgrounds.

I drove through this park years ago, and I don’t recall seeing any camping facilities there that could handle a big Class A motorhome.

followingsea, have you been to that campground? From the google street view the bridge over the river looks a bit narrow and the park is totally covered by trees, sometimes all of those trees can make maneuvering rather tight.

Riverbend RV Park is in Twisp (actually, between Twisp and Winthrop) and is within striking range of the North Cascades. I don't think you'll find anything big rig friendly in the park itself. Awesome drive though. Riverbend is a nice park that can handle your rig. We stay there whenever going that route.

No! It is now on my list of places to go next year. And it will not be the first time that I have pressure washed bark off the side of the MH.
I understand your concern. I have been to the area many times working on environmental issues. It is a beautiful area but I was in a work truck.
My main concern would be an early snow. In my first year of retirement I had a FS campground all to my self on the last week of the season. It was beautiful and peaceful. I was going to stay longer but I realized I would never make it up the hill until the following summer.
I do not think of the area isolated but the road less traveled.

North cascade park is east of Serdo Wooley on hwy #20 which goes from I-5 to Twisp. I have pulled trailers over it but not my m.h. Lots of hills, curves, & two passes if you go all the way. No services after Marblemont. There are several campgrounds on the way. I believe no parks after Newhalem. After that you cross Ross lake & you start up the pass. You can take a 43’ all the way but bring plenty of fuel. I would take mine over north cross which it is called.

Looks like easiest to approach from the east although I have driven them rig through a number of mountainous areas. Cruzer, how do you get to Riverbend?

Try Paragrin State park near Winthrop. There is also a KOA. There used to be free camping at Baker Lake run by the Skagit Power Authority. I may get killed now for divulging this info.....
