Northeast Canada/Newfoundland Tour
We are considering the subject tour for our 50th anniversary which comes up in 2018. Lots out there with huge price and duration differences. Can anyone that has been on that area tour provide recommendations?
Thanks!

We did a 61 day Maritimes Tour in 2016 with SOIclub.com. It was well organized and included New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, PEI and Quebec. SOI is a chapter of FMCA. They organize many rally's and caravans each year. For the $$ you get a lot of bang. The Maritimes is a great trip. We drove it in our Anthem.

We have your recommendation bookmarked. Thanks!
My wife found a "Gaspé & The Atlantic Provinces" tour with Adventure Caravans that is 58 days and a little higher than SOI club. They show their 2018 schedule.

We did a seven week Atlantic Provinces tour last summer with Fantasy Tours. Not cheap, but we thought it turned out to be a good value. Started in Maine and then NB, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, a day trip to Labrador and PEI. Don't plan on loosing weight

We did the shorter version of that trip (32 days) Well worth it - ease of planning vs. cost. The only downside was that there were a few places we would have liked to stay longer and of course couldn't since were part of the group. Also we were moving every day or mostly two so that got a bit tiring. It was nevertheless a great way to be introduced to that part of the world and if we go back we know what we'd do.

We saw a couple tours where you leave your coach for 1-4 days for side excursions which do not include pets. We are very concerned about that, not to be "that kind of pet owner" but we would rather not see a site than leave our dogs with someone we don't know for several days. Also, we bought the coach because we were tired of the "bag drag" in hotels after years of business travel.

One thing about the Newfoundland ferry is the pet policy. They can stay in the rig but you have no access to them while underway. Not too bad on the short trip, but the ferry from St John is 15-16 hours. They do have a dog storage area (for additional money) that crates the dogs and you have access to them for potty breaks etc. You can not take them into your cabin.

Did you look up the FMCA tours??
Matt and Mary did one of those including Newfoundland and PEI and loved it, it was not cheap but they have said it was good value. I do not know who the actual tour company was/is. If I can find out, I will come back.
