Oops!

We usually check doors and drawers before we open slides. Never found one open so got complacent.

Yep, the outboard drawer at the hutch popped open so now I need to find a cabinet maker to put it back together and sell us a new guide. Stopped movement when we heard a crunch so the damage isn’t bad. The outboard guide bent which prevented pushing the drawer back in so I had to pull the face off. Some one that knows what they’re doing, which isn’t me, can put it back together but the guide is DOA.

Keep checking those covered doors and drawers!

Good advice Vance. I did it on the Travel Supreme, but all a got was the drawer pull. Next Lowe's stop, all was good. I still double check after that so I know what you are feeling. You can get new slide at Lowe's, just a couple of screws to change.

Luckily I have a friend who is a retired finish carpenter and cabinetry guy. Sent him this pic and he said he could put it back together.

Vance, if it makes you feel any better, I did exactly the same thing! I had to put it back together and bent the slide back slowly, over a picnic table, it’s not perfect but works, particularly considering how much it’s used. Thank heavens Entegra doesn’t use glue on their drawers. Putting them back together is pretty simple.

Gary,

Entegra is going to send me a new drawer guide so with them and the talent of a friend we will be as good as new!

Glad another Y owner did the same thing, lessens the sting!

Drawer opening

2015 Aspire, this has happen twice. I can’t blame DW just because she takes care of the inside things. Our big drawer below the sink has came open twice & ruined the slides. We usually put a cushion or a chair to hold it closed. The problem with that is we have to climb over them if we want to use the head. I don’t want to tighten the holders up too much because she couldn’t open it. I have some ideas to hold it closed but haven’t done anything yet. Anyone have the same problem & what did you do about it.
Had the same problem with our back tv & the little holder keep breaking so I used a hook & eye system which has worked good. Thanks b
